Dr. Lane has been very helpful and informative. I would recommend him to anyone. He has really calmed my fears. But he will tell you there are risks.

My first impression of Dr. Ringold was he was a very nice and patient man. My opinion still hasn't changed. He took all the time needed to explain the risks and positive aspects of this surgery. He went through the risks thoroughly. He wanted me to understand what to expect with no surprises or regrets. And even though I live a couple of hours from Mobile he wouldn't stray from his normal pre-op tests and procedures.

I don't think there was anything I disliked about him.

His office staff was friendly, but I misunderstood about getting my records together for the insurance deremination letter. I thought his office would send for my medical records from my primary physician, instead of me being responsible for that. This little miscommunication delayed the whole process about a month longer than necessary. I like Melissa the best. I felt very comfortable asking her anything that needed answering after my visit.

I was given an aftercare program on my second visit so I knew ahead.

At first, I thought I was just going to be a quick in and out. But I was very wrong..he sat down talked with me for a very long time and it didn't matter how many question I had or how silly they were, he answered everyone of them. He has excellent nurses, but the front office ladies seem a little rude to me. But at least you don't have to deal with them. (Maybe they are just extermly busy). At any point you have a question you can call and ask to speak with a nurse. If they can't take your call right then they will call you back (trust me i have made a many call and not one hasn't been returned, even Dr. Weinstein returns his calls). I feel like everything was explained me in great detail. As what the risk were and the risk of surgery and out come could be. The only bad thing is, (not really sure if it is bad either) it takes a while to get an appt.(bout 3 to 4 months) Almost 6 months to surgery date. But I'm glad i had that time to think about what i was doing. To sum it up in a nut shell i'm glad i chose him. He is a great surgeon and he still taking great care of me.

I love Dr.Daniel Lane he was wonderful to me.
From the first time I met him and he talked to me I knew I had made the right decision to
use him as my Surgeon. He never made me feel fat or unconcern about me,I was scared to meet him because I was so big but from the moment I saw him all that went away. His staff was not real caring they had made me feel like just a number but after I had my surgery they have been real nice. When I go back for my check ups Dr.Lane is alway asking me if I have any questions and how do I feel.I feel if I had not had the surgery that I would still laying in bed 10 hours a day and never any energy and I would be taking insulin shots more so than before. He told me all the pros and cons before the surgery and told me that it was all up to me what I wanted to do.I was truly blessed with having such a fine surgeon and a good lord who guided his hands safely where need be.Thank you God and thank you Dr.lane

Dr. Lane was very informative and knowledgable about gastric bypass surgery. He had an easy job with me because I went to him well informed. He has a very good bed side manner. My impression of him has stayed the same from beginning to end. His office staff has been very good. They are helpful when I needed to call in with small problems. I have recommended him to other people that are considering having wls. I believe his only short coming is the lack of and emphasis on after care. Other doctors in this group recommend that you attend group counseling with other patients. He emphasized the risks, pros and cons of the surgery very well. I would rate him as an excellent surgeon.
This all my own personal impressions from my experiences with Dr. Lane. Your own impressions may be entirely different from my own.

My surgeon was very compassionate they did not pressure you they made sure you the benefits and risks involved. They present a film which starts out with your surgeon talking thanking you for choosing them and it goes into what will happen then he comes into see you. My impression only got better. The office people are very helpful the lady in charge of insurance showed me how to contact them if I didn't here from them. My doctor made an exception and got me in the hospital during my break from college. I'm in my last semester of R.N. school. I thank him tremendously for that. So I have nothing bad to say about him. He encouraged me to go to a support group. But being so busy in school I have not had time. They have you see them every one to two months and follow you progress. Yes that is discussed on the first three appointment you make. I would give him a ten. Coming from a nurse I give surical competence a high mark. But if there bedside manner is bad it doesn't help you so watch how they are in the office to see how they will be when you are in the hospital.

I was very impressed with Dr. Snow and all of his staff. He was very imformative and did not mind answering any questions that arose during our consultation. I have just been approved by Blue Cross Blue Shield on January 17, 2003. I am not waiting to receive my letter in the mail to schedule my second consultation and blood work. I will get my surgery date at this appointment. Dr. Snow was very honest about the seriousness of this surgery and wanted me to be very well aware of the aftercare of this type of surgery. This, after all, is a life-changing surgery.

<p align="left">on my first visit, i thought Dr snow was very thorough in explaining the surgery even the risk of it. I wasn't too excited about the group meeting but then i had to realize that he is a busy surgeon and I probably got to hear more from him by meeting in the group than I would have one on one. My impression remains the same, I still think he is a very good surgeon and when I am actually under his care(surgery date), I will see another more caring side of him. The person that helped me with any questions for getting my insurance approval was very helpful and kind. I think Dr Snow's nurses could be nicer and more considerate to his patients. On my second visit, the nurse that took me to the room and took my vitals gave me and my husband the impression that she was not happy with her job. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I think that surgical competence is the better but it is nice when you can have a warm bedside manner and compassion and concern from the surgeon's staff. I hope to have all these and the best care ever from them all when I have my surgery.
