Geary Community Hospital Bariatric Center

I had my surgery on 10/03/2011. Dr Stevens did my surgery. He is wonderful!! I had complications after surgery ,several times when I woke up he would be sitting by my hospital bed reading my chart. He was very concerned and caring.

He is no longer there, I do not feel like the after care for patients this far out is very good. I have gone back for follow up, due to lack of successful weight loss.

Dr Bollman basically said there was nothing they could do. Did not do any tests, said majority of tests on other patients came back to indicate that the pouch was still intact and working. He said there was no type of revision that could be done.

Once again I was made to feel like a failure on my weight loss battle.

I am in process of finding another surgeon who is willing to discuss revisions and actully check "my" pouch.

My first impression...he smells good and he's good looking! lol

I still have the same impression of him.
His office staff was great! Very friendly
Nothing I can tell at this point that I like least. All is good.
People should know that the man knows what he's doing and he's so smart and will educate you on EVERYTHING!
He addresses risks very well and straight and to the point.
Overall if I had to rate him, I would give him a 10 out of 1-10
Right now, everything about him is great..I think I might have a crush on him! LOLOLOLOL

Dr. Hachem comes off as all business at the 1st consult. He wants to make sure you know what you are doing and the decision is under the best motivation. Once the surgery was done his demeanor changed and he is very attentive. His nurses and office staff are the best! He expects you to be at your follow-up appointments. He is there for you 100%. There is an aftercare program with a monthly support meeting with the absolute best staff through Innovative Weight Loss Solutions at Geary Community Hospital Junction City, Ks. Dr. Hachem makes sure you understand the procedure(RnY)by drawing a diagram and explaining everything that is going to happen. He makes sure you are aware of and understand and have considered the risks. Overall, once you get past the \"stand offish\" demeanor that is actually business like concern at the initial appointment and get to the true person, he is very caring and attentive and supportive. I think it is important to have both surgical competence, which he definately does and a good bedside manner. Beyond his attentiveness the \"beside manner\" has to be pulled out of him. I appreciated my medical staff at Geary Community Hospital. I thank Dr Hachem and his staff. I greatly thank the staff (Ronda, Pam and Jennifer) at Innovative Weight Loss Solutions.

Dr. Hachem is a wonderful surgeon and does great follow up care with his patients. He can be a little dry and seem kind of uncaring but that is not the case. He is very upfront about everything and lets you know the risks and benefits of surgery. He was very good with me after surgery in the hospital and was very pleasant with my family. I would recommend him to anyone in my area looking to have surgery.

First impression was, he was sorta cool & distant but as you get to know him, he is very nice & warm & funny at times... rnThe office staff was just wonderful & they are very helpful in all aspects.

Dr. Hachem is very professional, and my opinion of that hasn't changed. He has a great sense of humor, and I would reccomend him to anyone. I am a picky nurse myself, so I tend to be very critical, but he has gone above and beyond with my care. The innovative solutions program in Junction City is fantastic, and very helpful. Even though I am a nurse, he still went over possible risks and complications THOUROUGHLY. He is very competent in surgery, and has a wonderful bedside manner.

He is a man of few words but he does educate you about the surgery at hand. I love this staff. They are so nice and helpful.

New Years Eve,Dr. Hachem was so nice to do my surgery since my husband was home on R&R from Iraq.I am so grateful for Dr.Hachem doing such a great job with my surgery.I have not had any problems that I thought I would have after surgery.I do live at the ymca every week day working out in the water.Getting slim again I feel like my ole self.I can do yard work and go up and down stairs much better.Its exciting to go to a different size each week.Dr. Hachem has a wonderful office staff and he is there if I need to call with a question.He has a wonderful bedside manner and is so great at his job.Everyday I wake up happy with my health and start the day off with lots of energy.

Dr. Bollman was very knowledgeable and kind. I've been used to doctors making me feel uncomfortable and embarassed about my weight. He made me feel very comfortable about talking to him from the very first and that has not changed over any of my follow up appointments with him. He is a truly caring doctor. His staff is also very helpful. I was surprised and impressed that he gave me his home number and was insistent that I call him should I have any problems after surgery. I did have to call him for a complication that was not due to surgery - I had an allergic reaction to something - and called over the weekend. He did call me back and apologized for the delay in calling me back on his day off!!! This was my personal impression based on my own experience with him so I can't speak for what other people may have experienced. I would give him 10+ out of 10. I would highly recommend him to anyone

Met him yesterday on Dec 06, 07. He seems competent and confident. Both quaities I like in a surgeon. He is very nice, but firm. Overall, two thumbs way up!!rnrn**UPDATE**rnHe did my surgery on 1/30/08. What an awesome Dr! He is very upfront with you and lets you know what to expect. He is also very funny with excellent bedside manner. Just a joy to be around! Was very attentive after surgery and made me laugh everytime he came around. The after care is the best! There is support group meetings as well as informational seminars. The seminars are honest ..you wont find a sales pitch here!! The entire team is just awesome!! They treat you like family! I couldnt have chose a better surgeon! I am truly blessed! Thanks, Dr Hachem. Youre the man!
