Garden State Bariatrics & Wellness Center Bariatric Center
My surgeon is the best! He was willing to find an way to help me have WLS. I am a renal patient on kidney dialysis and a lot of doctors were skeptical. He did his job and did it well might i add. He is great at explaining things, he is extremely knowledgeable, he is very nice, and most of all he cares. You are sure to be treated like a human being. An excellent surgeon who cares, Who can ask for more? He has a very supportive staff who is there for you every step of the way. I would recommend Dr. Bilof to anyone looking to have WLS.
I have found Dr. Bilof to be a weel informed and caring doctor. He is rather laid-back but will address any question or concern that you have.rnThe staff in the office are all friendly and Teresa, who was my contact, helped me by following up with me when I let too much time go by between contacts with the office.rnFor new patients: Don't think that Dr. Bilof doesn't care just because he seems laid-back. Do not hesitate to bring any question or concern you may have to him and if you need more of an explaination don't hesitate to ask him.rnDr. Bilof stresses aftercare and the support group which meets monthly at the St. Barnabas Hospital Ambulatory Care Center. Patients can attend this group both pre=surgery and post-surgery and there is even a next level group for those who are one year and more post-op.rnDr. Bilof was honest and informative about the risks of surgery. He did not procede until all testing was completed and clearance given to go forward.rnOverall I would rate Dr. Bilof as a very through surgeon with a very good team working with him.
The first time I met Dr. Bilof, it was seminar at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. To my surprise was no one there, just the girls for the Doctor office. So my sister and I waited a few minutes. We were thinking if no one else come they my cancel it to a later date. Well to my surprise Dr. Bilof walk up to us introduced him self pulled up a chair and we started to chat.rnI was very impress with his people skills; he made me feel very comfortable talking to him and asking my questions. He spoke to me as I was a person of major importance.rn.
Dr. Bilof is intelligent, kind, and very calm cool and collected. He makes me feel comfortable and well cared for. His office staff, (especially Dominga, my representative), is helpful, prefessional, and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Bilof and his staff. He is especially careful and detail oriented, and thankfully I had no complications from my lap band surgery. What else can I say? I highly recommend Dr. Bilof, and I am doctor myself so that should mean a lot!
My first impression of Dr. Bilof was a very good one! He is very imformative and has very good knowledge of the surgery and what to expect after the surgery! Dominga, in his office, is WONDERFUL and she has called me constantly during my approval/clearance phase and really stayed on top of everything... I look forward to having this surgery and dealing with Dr. Bilof and his staff for a long time to come!
I meet my angel on September 12th for my very first appointment. I can't wait.rnWell what can I say about Dr. Bilof.. He is absolutly wonderful. He answered all of my questions, eased my worries, spent an hour and 20 minutes talking with my BF Amy (support) and myself in general about the surgery and what option would be best for me. There was nothing I didn't like about him.. He is great, I am so glad I made the appointment with him. I would rate him on a scale of 1-10, he tips the scale in his favor!!!Looking forward to a long and prosperous journey with him and his staff!!! Hi staff was very friendly and courteous.. Dominga is fantastic and funny.. she is my personal surgeons assistant.. that is awesome!!!
He was soft spoken and nice. He led me to believe I met all the criteria to get approved. Office staff was nice, but once I got the first denial, it seemed no one want to talk to me. My primary said he would help but the letter of the specialist and his findings need to be sent to appeal the denial. When I asked his assistant who sent all materials to BC/BS received the denial, she dropped the ball and left me totally distrought. My help has been poor, I get to nervous I am getting heart or chest pains again. I have a steint already. I liked him alot until he stopped caring about me. If paper work should envolve him or his office I don't feel he will be there for you. He was very informative, he went over all risks and recooperation time and eating etc. Most important is surgical competence, 2nd is how much does he care about his patient, will he/she go the extra mile to help. I am so up-set to say he left me flat, fat and sad.
