WeightWise Bariatric Program Bariatric Center
I really appreciate Dr. Walton. He was very open and honest. He helped me through my multiple issues prior to surgery. He answered all of my questions. He never pressured me when I was unsure if I really wanted to have the surgery. He talked about the benefits and the risks. He answered all of my husband's questions until my husband felt more comfortable with the surgery. He has structured program that emphasises permanent life change. He has you attend support groups, visit with a nutritionist, and exercise guru. The cost for the surgery includes 2 years worth of follow-ups. After my sugery, he gave me his card with his cell phone number on it so I could call him anytime. His staff is very supportive but do get very busy and sometimes need to be reminded to stay on track. For instance, I had to get my own weight history because they forgot. Overall, I had a very good experience and would recommend him to anyone considering wls.

I just attended the free seminar after years of contemplating weight loss surgery. Dr. Broussard is a great speaker and he provided a lot of honest, straight-forward information about everything you'd ever want to know about weight loss and weight loss surgery. I would definitely recommend attending his free seminar.
I went to a seminar in Jan. 2011 @ Weight Wise, Dr.Toby Broussard was the speaker. He was very, very informative about all of the wls. You could tell that he is a very caring doctor. And that he is very compassionate about what he does. Ok that being said. I made an appointment for my initial consultation. I went for my consultation and got the list of required things that the doctor wants me to do before I had surgery. And let me tell you he is very thorugh, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. One of the requirements was, I had to loose 13lbs. This I thought would be a breeze. Boy was I wrong. It was tough because I didn't really try that hard till I went for my preop appt. with him. I meet with him and he ask me how I was doing with my weight loss, WELLLLL I had only lost 3 lbs :(. He told me that if I didn't loose every pound that he required he would have to postpone my surgery :o. And he said "I souldn't even be doing your preop right now & normaly I wouldn't". So here I am 10days from surgery with 10lbs to loose. I then told he I would work really hard at it. Well to my suprise I was 17lbs down on the day of surgery.......woooohoooo!!! My surgery went great. One thing that I can tell you is while I was going thru all the preop stuff I meet Dr. B's better half :). His awesome and amazing wife Sharon. She has been amazing. She's also a RN so she gave me her cell phone # that way if I has questions I could contact her. This lady was a God sent to me. Most of the time if I needed anything I would text her with questions. Her responce was mind blowing fast. I just love love love this lady. Today is 3-20-11 and I am 9 days postop and I am down a total of 25lbs (17 preop & 8 postop) and I'm loving my sleeve. Thank you Dr. Broussard, Sharon, and All of the staff at Weight Wise. Your the BEST!!!! Lori :)

process has been very clear, no question of what needed to be done. there was some confusion with staff change and final scheduling of surgery.
Great!
First of all, let me tell you about the greatest, most wonderful Surgeon I have had the pleasure to come in contact with. The first time I went to the WeightWise facility, I was skeptical. I always thought that having a surgery of this type was a "cowards" way out. But I went with my mother-in-law so she wouldn't have to go alone. We heard Dr. Walton speak. I really wasn't impressed, not that there was anything wrong with Dr. Walton, or the seminar he gave, I just didn't have the mindset that this was for me. But I let my mother-in-law convince me that I had to make an appointment and meet Dr. Broussard before I totally closed my mind to the idea. So, I did. I'll be totally honest, the first time I met him, I couldn't get past his gorgeous eyes and his sexy accent. But I digress. He was very honest with me. Very upfront. He didn't "BS" me. In fact when I asked if my skin would sag, he said 'how old are you?' I said "33" he said "yes, it will sag. you're not a 25 year old anymore." My husband was offended by that, but I thought it was funny. He never strayed from that honesty. He never fed me a line of bull. I always knew that if I asked him something, I was going to get a straight answer. On June 23, 2010, I under went Gastric Sleeve surgery. When they rolled me back he was there and he said "I'll see you in a bit darlin'" I always felt that I could trust him. I was never scared or worried. After surgery I had some "no-no's" as I like to call them. On my birthday in July, I was still learning how to eat, and I made a mistake that landed me in the hospital with a severe case of acid reflux. It was three in the morning, they called him, and he came to see me first thing that next morning. We talked about what happened and he didn't judge, he just explained why not to do what I did. The next time I ended up in the hospital was for dehydration. Twice I was in there for not drinking my fluids like I was supposed to. Again, no jugdement from him, just a stern talking to about the importance of fluids after a surgery like mine. I'm five months out, and everyday I look in the mirror, and I see a new me. I see the skinny girl that was hiding underneath all of that fat. I don't take diabetic meds anymore, in fact I hardly take any meds at all. I enjoy life in a way I never thought was possible. I love to walk, to run, to ride bikes, I love doing activities and shopping. Life is so much fun to me now. Everyday I try to think of ways to say thank you to the wonderful people at Weightwise for all of their support and help over the last few months, Jamie England, my patient advocate; Stephanie Moore, my nutritionist; Jenni Cooper my exercise physiologist; and off course Dr. B. for changing my life. Everytime I look in the mirror and I smile at the new me, I thank him in my head for changing my life. Without him, without his skill, without his care for me and all of his patients, I wouldn't be who I am today. Thank you Dr. Broussard, All my love! Stacey Marson
I attended one of Dr. Broussard's seminars this week. It was very informative and very exciting. I truly enjoyed the testimonial by the young lady (Amy?) prior to Dr. Broussard's presentatioin. I learned the differences of the three surgeries that he performs and have made a decision on the one that I feel fits my and my needs. I have an appointment today to start the process. Can't wait.
My first impression of Dr. Broussard was his
senserity for his patients. He was very informative about all surgerys. He helped me decide which surgery was best for me and went into detail about all the aspects. I knew what to expect at my first appointment and set goals for myself with the help of his office personnel.(doctor, nutrition, exercise, and mental awareness). I am confident that from now till after surgery I will recieve excellent care.
I would definitely recomend Dr. Broussard to anyone thinking of having bariatric surgery.
As with any surgery, he will tell you the risk and how any risk with any type of surgery could affect you and at what percentage it could affect you.
I would rate Dr. Broussard as very knowledgeable.
He has a very structured aftercare program. I have already been to my first appointment and am looking forward to my next one. I am losing weight now and hope to keep doing so.
I am in the pre-surgery program now.
