I have been to 2 of his seminar's and had my first appt with him about 3 weeks ago and so far have been happy with everything I've learned and the things I need to do to get a surgery date.

My primary physician talked to me about going to the Weight Wise clinic and checking into WLS. I was ready for a big change this time so after reviewing the website completely, (I even watched the bypass surgery video) I signed up for a seminar. It took me two tries to follow through with actually going to the seminar. First impressions, I kid you not, I was thrilled with the extra wide chairs. Dr. Broussard is very candid about everything you will go through before and after surgery. There is no sugar coating here. It took me a few more weeks to make my first appointment because I'm a heavy thinker and I had to wrap my brain around all the things I'd be giving up and what I would gain. First actual office visit, he is very straight forward. I have who I like to refer to as the Stephanie's as my patient advocate and dietician. I actually felt encouraged rather than schooled after being here. I have a little ways to go before my body is ready for surgery but I am enjoying the ride.

Was very impressed with Dr. Broussard after attending the free class on gastric sleeve & made an appointment. He was the first doctor who ever gave me a hug when he entered the room. (I'm used to the 5 minutes--gotta go doctors). Was comforting/refreshing. He spent quite a bit of time with me & actually looked at records which I had brought. My intention was to do away with the lap band & go for the gastric sleeve. By the way, I got the lap band from another doctor in 2006 who is no longer is in practice (Thank you Jesus!). Without the knowledge on how to live with the lap band, I lost weight & then gained it back. Actually learned more from Dr. Broussard's class than I had in the past 5 years. Two hightlights were (1) you fill you pouch with the protein (2) if you have stomach pain (from gas) lay on your left side or have fluid removed from band so you can "belch like you did in college" (his words, not mine) & then have fill added after air is gone. Anyway, we are going to try to work with the band for the time being. I am scheduled for an upper GI series on the 22nd. He actually wants to be there & watch me swallow the barium to be sure the band is as it should be. I thought that was incredible. Hey! And I got a $21 discount on the $140 Quick Start package of shakes/bars for going to the class. They even taste good. Will let you know after the 22nd about the upper GI series.

Dr. Walton and his staff were fantastic. I had my surgery 5 weeks ago. My pre-op treatment and information was thorough, and my hospital stay was 2nd to none! The staff and Dr. Walton were so upfront and informative with their information.
I am also impressed with the post-op information and support that Dr. Walton offers.
I went to a different seminar before I went to Dr. Walton's. The doctor was not there to answer questions, while Dr. Walton was and he was very open about the procedure and the cost.
I believe that Dr. Walton has changed my life!

I met Dr. Broussard at an informational seminar held in the office. I immediately felt very comfortable with him and knew that he had his patient's interest at heart. I was worried because I currently have a LapBand and wanted to convert to a sleeve. He assured me it would not be a problem and let me know that it is a fairly common procedure. I had my first appointment with him just a few days later and I am so glad I did. He really is dedicated to helping his patients and I honestly think that he WANTS to see me succeed. I'm extremely glad I chose him as my surgeon and can't wait to start a new chapter in my life!

My surgery is May 24th, but Dr. Walton has done surgery on me before and he is wonderful and caring. Cannot recommend him high enough!

I started out this journey with another surgeon and just didn't feel comfortable. A friend went to Weightwise and encouraged me to try it. I am SO glad I went. Dr. Walton gave his seminar personally and was wonderful. You could really tell that he cares about bariatric surgery and his patients. I scheduled a follow up visit and went in that week. Dr. Walton is such a nice man. He spent more time with me and got to know me better on that first visit than anyone at the previous surgeon's office had ever bothered to do.

The program at Weightwise is amazing. Everyone that you have to work with is right there in the same office, including psych, exercise, dietician, and doctor. And the hospital is right downstairs. I love that!

I was able to meet for the psych consult with Dr. Keller on my first visit. I really liked him, he is a straight shooter. He runs the a support group also. My dietician is amazing, I can e-mail her anytime and she always gets right back with me. My patient advocate is so helpful and always lets me know exactly what to expect. I am so happy in my decision to switch to Weightwise. Surgery in 3 weeks!

I have now been on my pre-surgery diet now for about 3 weeks and I'm getting all my testing done. My initial appointment with Dr. Broussard was very informative. He was attentive and answered my questions with sensitivity. I am so excited about this opportunity to better my health. Dr. Broussard discussed my options for surgery and answered my questions and concerns. He put me at ease about my fears of anesthesia. My journey is just starting but I think I made the right choice.

I just went yesterday for my seminar conducted by Dr. Toby Broussard. I was really nervous about this because I have wanted to have this surgery for a long time but was scared of the aspects of a major life decision like this. My health has been poor for several years now. I have always been a little plump but after getting a little older and after I quit smoking, I had put on a lot of weight. I have come to the conclusion that I will have to do something in order to have quality of life left to me.

I must say that I was very impressed by Dr. Broussard. He gave us a lot of information with no sugar coating, which I certainly appreciated. The clinic was beautiful and the staff seemed very efficient and friendly. The fact of all the before and after care was available was something that made me feel better about the surgery. Dr. Broussard stressed the aspects of working with the whole team and changing bad habits in order to make the surgery and my goal of improving my health a success.

I am looking forward to my first appointment with Dr. Broussard and am excited to get started on this journey to a better healthier life.

I haven't had my operation yet but on the prediet, I have lost 40 pounds . He does seem like he really cares and I have been in line for surgery before to get turned down by my insurance . and it wasnt as nearly as good as this program if you do what he says you will lose weight . And the staff is great best people you will ever meet . alot of them have had the surgery done. I will keep you posted after surgery.
so far I am scheduled for March 22.
