My impression of him so far is he's a hands on kind of doctor. He is the one who calls and e-mails me. I haven't even spoken to his staff so far. He takes his time when talking with me and has made sure I know all of the changes I'll be making and he emphasizes aftercare.

My first impression of Dr. Broussard was that he seemed to come across as a doctor who wants his patients well informed. My impression didn't change much other than I noticed toward the end that he seemed very comfortable with the group I was with. He came across more as a friend helping me to understand the processes of these surgeries. The office staff were very kind. Future patients should know that Dr. Broussard is very honest about the surgery that he performs. He wants you to have the most positive outcome. He was very clear on how responsible the patient was for their after care. In fact, he stated that he would not do surgery on a patient if they did not attend support group. Dr. Broussard was very explanatory about the different types of surgeries that he performs and the risks and complications. He explained everything in a \"matter of fact\" fashion. No hidden agenda. In fact, the cost of the surgeries were reduced for cash paying customers. I would rate Dr. Broussard a (9) on a scale from 0-10. This is based on the educational speech that I attended. Both competence and bedside manner are important to me as a patient. I am looking forward to my first doctor's appointment to visit with him about my personal needs for this surgery.

I was very impressed by Dr. Broussard. He had a very straight forward way of presenting the information, and seemed very knowledgable about the various bariatric procedures. He seems very compassionate and spoke very warmly of his former patients. rnrnHe gave a good overview of the procedures available, and what his program structure was. He let you know what the risks were, what the hospital stay would be like, and he also outlined those things that wouldn't change. People may think this is a cure all procedure, but Dr. Broussard made you see that the surgery is just part of the program and that it will only be as successful as the patient makes it. He can perform the surgery, but the individual has to make it work. That was the first time I heard a doctor say, he could perform the surgery but it takes a combined effort for weight loss, and maintaining that weight loss, to be successful.rnrnHe was more than willing to sit down after the seminar with individuals who had questions. And I found it amazing that he led the seminar himself. I attended a class on my local program and I only saw the doctor by video, and at that he wasn't the actual surgeon. It meant a lot to me that he took the time himself. rnrnI also liked the fact that he \"cherry picks\" his patients and is proud of it. He seems to be as dedicated to my success as I am.rnrnHe was very direct about what his expectations were regarding my effort both before and after surgery. He stressed the need for follow-up visits and support groups. His concern in this area made it feel like this wasn't a \"surgery mill\".rn rnI want a doctor who knows his stuff, but at the same time, I also want that doctor to see me as a person not just a patient. I felt Dr. Broussard was just that type of doctor. He left you with the feeling that he would be just as disappointed as you if the surgery and the subsequent weight loss was not successful. That meant a lot.

I really like Dr. Broussard's personality. He explained the information very well for the common person to be able to understand it. I am excited to get my surgery scheduled. All staff that I have meet have been very nice.

If it weren't for Dr. Gregory Walton I would have never began this journey. I was totally against WLS until I met and worked with him for 2 years. He is kind and compassionate, and loves what he does. If you are his patient you will have his cell phone number. I wish I had met you a long time ago, Dr. WALTON.

My first question to Dr. Walton was how soon I would be able to model for the Abercrombie and Fitch catalog... Once he actually realized I wasn't serious, we had a great conversation. rnDr. Walton was generous with his time, visited with my family before and after surgery, and just generally makes you feel good about your decision. rnrnDr. Walton truly cares about his patients. He said from the beginning that surgery is not a great option, but it is the best option we have for beating obesity. I am carrying around contact information now that will allow me to reach Dr. Walton any time I need him.rnrnI believe I made the best possible choice in surgeons.

He was funny, and down to earth. He did not make me feel like I should feel bad about myself. He seemed very serious about his job, and how MY weight loss would take place. I liked everyone in the office. I think before and after care is second to none.

I was at first very skeptical but after attending a seminar on April 26th. I could not believe how ALL my questions were answered. He covers everything from before - during & after the surgery without making you feel rushed. He was available as long as we needed him that day. rnMy first appointment was on May 6th, and (as I always am at the Dr office) I was very nervous. The staff from the reception area to the assistants to the nurses were all very pleasant and want to make sure I was very comfortable rnDr Broussard again explained the importance of the whole process and what he expected out of me as a patient to accomplish before surgery. rnI really feel that he is concerned about me as a person (he will not do the surgery if he thinks I am not ready for it) and wants this to go as smoothly as possible for both of us. He made sure I knew about the support groups available and the risk associated with this surgery. rnI definitely think very highly of Dr Broussard and the staff at Weight Wise and their dedication to fighting obesity.

My first encounter with Dr. Walton was at the Weight Wise seminar I attended right after Jan. 1, 2008. I thought at that time \"Wow, this doc really cares about people who CAN NOT lose weight no matter what they try!\" My first impression was right on, and has only gotten better & better as time has past.rnrnThe clinic office staff are great! They are knowledgeable and helpful and want to serve you, the patient. I have always left there with the feeling that they all really care about me, not my insurance carrier anything else. rnrnDr. Walton addressed all of the risks and potential complications thoroughly and made sure I had no questions before my surgery. In fact on the day of my surgery, I asked him how he slept the night before and he said \"Great!\". I told him, I had a feeling he did because I had prayed that he sleep well and wake feeling refreshed and alert and ready to do my surgery. He even told me thanks for that!rnrnI would rate Dr. Walton very high on anyone's scale! His surgical competence and bedside manner are second-to-none!
