DR BROUSSARD GAVE AN INFORMATIVE SEMINAR ON THE THREE TYPES OF WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL BUT IN A PERSONAL KIND OF WAY. HE TOLD BOTH THE GOOD AND BAD OF EACH OPTION. HE WAS VERY REAL AND ANSWERED ALL OF THE QUESTIONS THAT WE HAD. HE IS VERY ADAMENT ABOUT SUPPORT GROUPS AND AFTER CARE. HE GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION THAT HE IS MORE THAN JUST A SURGEON, HE REALLY CARES ABOUT THE OUTCOME AND THE INDIVIDUALS SUCCESS. HE DID NOT MAKE LIGHT OF SURGERY...HE WAS VERY REAL IN THE POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS BUT ALSO THE POSSIBLE SUCCESSES. HE WAS VERY ADAMENT THAT HE WOULD ONLY OPERATE IF HE FELT ABSOLUTELY COMFORTABLE WITH THE SITUATION. THAT MADE ME FEEL REALLY GOOD.
I was impressed with Dr Broussard's straight-forward attitude. I feel like I can discuss whatever I need with him. He lets you know from the start what is expected of you. He explained everything in great detail and answered all questions with ease and confidence. My surgery is 8-25-06. I will let you know more as I work with him more, but for now, I love him! He is helping me to make a dream come true!

Dr. Walton and his staff are the BEST! I always feel comfortable at the visits and I feel they really have your best interests at heart.rnThis was the best decision I ever made and I am so glad I chose the Weightwise program. The pre-op appointments were so motivating and kept me right on track. Since surgery I have seen Dr. Walton twice and had a couple of diet classes. Everything is going great and I am convinced it is in a large part because of the awesome program at Weightwise.
My first impression of Dr. Broussard was that he was very young looking but after listening to him for almost 2 hours, I felt he really knew what he was talking about and I appreciated all the answers to everyone's questions. He didn't seem in a hurry and was really interested in everyone's questions and getting right to the point. The staff was very friendly.rnrnI felt that Dr. Broussard felt very strongly aboutrnaftercare and what the program consists of and how necessary it is to have all the resources the hospital provides.rnrnI feel Dr. B is a very confident and knowledgeable doctor and has put his heart and soul into his surgery and really wants to help people achieve their goals..rnrnI think surgical competence is a must and feel Dr. B has achieved that aspect and I feel his bedside manner will be positive and friendly.
When I attended the informational seminar, Dr. Walton was the presenter. I was impressed by his unassuming demeanor, his humor, and his knowledge. When I found out that I could get an appointment with him, I was delighted. When I met with him, I just knew he was the surgeon for me! I have had several challenges already, and Dr. Walton has been very helpful and encouraging. His staff has been wonderful. Everyone emphasizes the importance of pre- and post-op care. Dr. Walton and I both know there are risks, not only in connection with the surgery but with me as the patient. I feel like I am part of the team, to make sure my experience is the best it can be. I feel \"heard,\" and that is so important to me. No question is \"stupid.\" I appreciate Dr. Walton's surgical expertise and his sensitive bedside manner.rnI'm sure Dr. Walton is not a perfect surgeon, but, so far, he's come close.
I went for my consultation visit and was very impressed by Dr. Walton. He is very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable when answering questions. I feel he is sincerely concerned about my health and surgical experience. I was told I had to have a Sleep study and see a Cardiologist. I wasn't too happy about the added cost, but I understand it is for my health and a safe surgery to know if I have problems I am not aware of.. He took time to explain the reasons he wanted extra tests done. I have not had the surgery as yet, but I am confident I chose the best Dr for me.
My impression of Dr. Brossard is one of a very dedicated and astute surgeon. Clearly , this is not just a job for him, but a life mission. I am an RN and who has battled weight her whole life and have been on every diet known to man. I thought I knew everything there was to know but Dr. Brossard presented information that changed my whole \"understanding\" of weight gain and the management thereof. He is very thorough with his instruction about beforecare and aftercare of WLS and the risks associated. I walked in hopeless and came out hopeful that a real solution was available.
I have been very impressed with Dr. Broussard so far. At this point I have only met with him once individually but have heard him speak at the seminar and at a support group meeting. I'm from Louisiana also so I liked his accent.rnrn**update** My surgery was 8 days ago and I am convinced more than ever that Dr. B. is the very best at WLS. He is so down to earth and funny. I love the aftercare that Weight Wise gives. Awesome.
