WHEN I FIRST MET HIM I WAS NEVEROUS,BUT HE IS A EXCELLENT DOCTOR. HIS STAFF IS GREAT THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. HIS WIFE IS A VERY SWEET LADY AND I THINK SHE IS A ANGEL. ANYONE THAT IS CONSIDERING GOING WITH THIS DOCTOR WILL NOT REGRET IT. HE IS THE BEST THERE IS. I AM GLAD I MET HIM. HE HAVE CHANGE MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THE BETTER. AND I FEEL GRRRRREEAATTTTTT.
IF I MADE IT I KNOW YOU CAN JUST HAVE FAITH EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING APPROVE DO LIKE I DID CHANGE INSURANCE. BUT WHEN I DID CHANGE I GOT APPROVE IN NO TIME. AND I AM GLAD I DID NOT WAIT TO PUT THIS OFF. CAUSE I PROBABLY WILL STILL BE BATTLING WITH WEIGHT AND FEEL LIKE I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO LIVE FOR. BUT THAT HAVE ALL CHANGE NOW. I FEEL LIKE A MILLION DOLLAR STAR. LOOKING AND FEELING YOUNGER AND BETTER. NOW I AM ABLE TO GET OUT AND DO MORE WITH MY KIDS. AND I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT THE MAN ABOVE(GOD) FOR GIVING ME FAITH AND COURAGE TO GO HEAD AND DO IT. THANKS AGAIN DR. MAREMA&STAFF

Great first impression. Warm, good-natured. He knows how to get your attention. His staff have all had the surgery. Most are great; all are friendly. Some phone tag; nothing serious. Support meetings are excellent.

He is very personable, the office staff is very friendly and helpful.I like the fact that Dr. Marema has had the surgery too, along with his wife and some of his nurses. I really don't have anything that I dislike about the doctor or his staff. Future patients should know that he is very kind, personable and very knowledgeable in his field, I feel i'm in good hands with Dr. Marema. The after care is great, he discusses the risks of surgery, and what your responsibilities are as a patient. It is very improtant to follow his instructions. I feel at this time I have chosen a very good doctor. I don't have a surgery date yet, I'll keep you posted.

he was very genuine. he had the surgery done himself so he knew first hand exactly what i was experiencing through the entire process.his ofice is also stafed by people who have all had the surgery done so they are all very helpful.he emphasises ftercare very much, in fact i believe he would not do the surgery on someone if they were not willing to keep it up.overall i would rate him outstanding.

I loved Dr. Marema from the begining. I liked the fact that he, his wife and his office staff had the surgery. They are always there to listen to you. I love the monthly support meetings. Meeting people there and seeing everyones progress is great. I carry his brochure with me and hand it out whenever someone asks how i lost weight. I thank him for everything he has done.

Dr. Marema's staff is wonderful.. I have met several members of the staff that have too had the surgery. Dr, Marema makes you feel very comfortable. His staff is always available to answer any questions you may have. They are there to help you :)

I hope to meet him soon.

Today I went to the informational meeting.
He is a nice and funny guy.
He is all what I have read about him on this Group, I feel I will be on good hands.

My husband and I met Dr. Marema on Monday night, 1/17/2000. We attended a weekly informational session at his office in the professional building adjoining Imperial Point Medical Center here in Ft. Lauderdale. These informational meetings take place every Monday night from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Dr. Marema's office.

Dr. Marema, was amazing, he was very honest and knows first hand what obese people are experiencing; because he has lived it himself. What amazed me was that Dr. Marema had a gastric bypass himself and he looks wonderful. His wife has had the procedure as well, and a few of his assistants, one of whom is currenly 7 months pregnant having had her procedure over a year and a half ago.

Dr. Marema has been performing the Roux en Y Gastric Bypass procedure for 7 years.

MY ADVICE, GO TO THE MEETING... YOU WILL LEARN FROM HIS SLIDE SHOW AND INFORMATIONAL PACKET. THEY EVEN HAVE AFTERCARE SUPPORT GROUPS...

Dr. Marema is a wonderful sugeon as well as a man. He is constantly concerned regarding all of the aspects of post op care, both physically and mentally. I have been completely satisfied with him.

I changed from Dr. Murr in Tampa because I felt his office staff was stting. I met with Dr Marema and was really pleasantly surprised at the difference in office staff, and doctors. Dr. Marema is very accessible as is his staff. In addition he is at support group meetings both in Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa. He also conducts informational meetings once a week. He has had the surgery himself as has much of his staff. Their before and after pictures were awesome. He follows his patients for at least two years and has structured visits as well as the support groups. he addressed all aspects of surgery both during my visit and at the informational meeting.

Other people who have had him as a surgeon rate him very highly. he seems to have it all, good surgical skills, as well as being easy to talk to. he even gives his patients his beeper number and home phone number.

My date is Jan 26th. His office got me approved in one day!!!
