I had my sleeve with Dr. Marema on 2/12/14 and he was a rock star. I woke up in minimal pain and was sipping along quite well. He used the spyder so you cant even see my one itty bitty scar in my belly button. Boy does this guy know his stuff and funny too. Great bedside manner too.

Im now 11 years post-op and have developed a gastric fistula or reconnection of my old stomach to my
new pouch. I've had extreme nausea, vomiting and overwhelming pain. I saw Dr. Marema today to get the good and bad news. The bad news is that I have a gastric fistula and will need to have my original surgery revised to correct the problem. The good news is that after traveling 3 hours North to see Dr. Marema he listened to my issues and took proactive steps to identity the problem and I finally have a diagnosis! I know that i'm in the most capable and experienced hands possible. I am proud to have him as my surgeon!

Brabazon Sr. and I just had Gastric Bypass Surgery this past Monday, Feb. 25th, 2013 and I was doing so very well that I was discharged the very next day, Feb. 26th, 2013 My wife of 41 years (Carol) had this surgery back on May 31st. 2006 and she lost a total of 300 pounds and has kept it of completely over the past seven years. Had surgery 04/14/2010. Have lost 100 lbs. and am very happy with weight loss. Grateful to Dr. Marema for his willingness to perform VSG. Received excellent care in the hospital and post-op. Would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone interested in having bariatric surgery.

Dr Marema is the very best surgeon. He saved my life and nearly 5 years after my surgery I look back and rejoice in the life i have now. I had so little side effects from my surgery. Dr. Marema is an expert in his field. He is empathic and kind to his patients. I felt calm and sure I was in the best hands for my surgery. From checking into the surgery center to the day of discharge, Dr. Marema was personally involved. I just had my 2 week follow up with Dr. Marema and still feel like I was lucky to find this wonderful doctor. The office staff of Dr. Marema are the most efficient and personable group of people. They helped fast track me through the programs became of insurance issues. The program director is a sleeve patient herself and has the best personality for the position.
