He came across a little arrogant, but that comes with being good. I instantly liked him and felt comfortable and that he was a good fit for me.rnrnI would reccommend this doctor, I felt I was in great hands.

Dr. Marema is awesome. He puts you at ease, and is very knowledgable, especially since he too has had bariatric surgery, his first hand experience with the surgery is very good to have. He's not just saying things because it was in a text book, he lives it everyday like me. His staff is also very easy to get along with. Always friendly and helpful.I believe the whole team is fantastic and caring, you can really tell they want every person to succeed. I would recommend them to anyone; family, friend, or stranger.

I worked for an answering service for 10 years, and came to know a great many jerks with a medical license. Consequently, I am very picky about who my medical practitioners are. The first time I ever spoke with Dr. Marema, at one of his seminars, he made an excellent first impression. I am even more of a fan since I have met his office staff, since you can learn a great deal about people by observing their employees. The very lovely people who work for Dr. Marema obviously hold him in the highest esteem. That is comforting. I love the fact that he has a sense of humor. His participation in Bariatric studies, such as the one for the Realize band, is a definite plus. And did I mention how great his office staff is? Everyone who works there is competent, affable, encouraging and, most importantly, reachable. rnrnMore will follow as I travel further on this journey, but so far, so good!

When I heard Dr. Marema speak in 1/09 about WLS I really liked that he understood what it meant to be obese. He has been there and through the same things we go through plus he is a former patient as well. He was very knowledgeable and didn't talk down to anyone. His practice is a one stop shop for all aspects of the process. I look forward to him performing my surgery in the next few months and think most people would like and respect him.

My surgeon is Dr. Robert Marema in St. Augsutine, FL. He is wonderful. He is also a bariatric patient himself so he has a good understanding of what we are going through. rnDr. Marema also did my husband's gastric by pass last November 2007 and has lost 155 lbs.rnDr. Marema is the best! i did my research well and it paid off..I can honestly say that Dr. Marema and his helpful crew has saved my life..I made the right choice, Dr. Marema is the only Surgeon that i have ever meet with an excellent attitude and personality to go with it. I was in St. Augustine and had an excellent experience. I was sore but it was not that bad at all. I would recommend any one to Dr. Marema and Dr. Koffman they are the best...
