Dyer MD Weight Loss Surgery Bariatric Center
I just would like to say how much I admonish Dr. Dyer. He is a very bright surgeon. His bedside manner is impecable. He would come to my room and hold my hand while he spoke with me. I am now only 5 days post-op for a lap RNY, but I know I am in GREAT hands! If anyone has any questions about chosing him for your surgery, please feel free to ask! God Bless!
Dr. Dyer and his staff are wonderful He is very comprensive in his exam and expectations from the surgery. He has a wonderful caring manner and explains every step of the way. Very willing to answer any questions. Great followup care with nutritionalrnsupport, exercise and support groups. Hat's off to Dr. Dyer and his staff. In my book they are a 10.
Dr. Dyer and staff are the greatest. I love them all. He is such a kind and honest person. He tells you like it is and wants whats best for you and will always be there for you. I liked him from the beginning. He wants you in an aftercare program. It is so important. He addresses the risks with you and his surgical competance and bedside manner are outstanding. He is a treasure to behold. I would recommend him to everyone. He genuinely cares about you personally and he shows it. I must also say the nurses on staff at the hospital are great also. Especially a night nurse who I love to hate, Ha-Ha. She was determined to make me walk. I was equally determined that I could not. Because I was unable to when I went in. I finally made it to the door with a walker. Her name is Sherry. I was your worst nightmare Sherry. Ha-Ha. But I love ya. Thanks to all very much.
Dr.Dryer and all of his office staff has been really great. I would tell anyone that is considering this sugery to go and see them and they will answer all your questions and help you an making a desision to have this sugery or not. They are all for you and that is important. They all make you feel at home and will treat yoou right and will also make you feel that you are important and will make your family feel like they are a part of your desision. I had the surgery and Centennial Hospital and the staff there was very attentive and had great bedside assistance. Dr.Dryer was there every day and sometimes twice. I felt great being there and wouldn't mind being in their care again. I know they will take good care of me and my family.
I am a registered nurse. Dr. Dyer was recommended to me by a registered nurse who had had RNY by Dr. Dyer and another registered nurse who provides follow-up care for wounds and post-operative complications. I initially found Dr. Dyer to be very business-like, but thorough. He ensured that I understood the potential complications as well as the physical and emotional transformation I was about to experience. His office staff was very thorough and consistent. Whenever I failed to connect with the dietitian or exercise physiologist during office visits they emailed and/or phoned me until they ensured that I was OK and following the plan. Dr. Dyer expects you and reminds you to participate in aftercare. This is a good thing. I expected an \"at a girl\" at most every appointment and would sometimes leave office visits perplexed as to why Dr. Dyer was less than ecstatic over my weight loss progress. In retrospect this was an appropriate challenge for me. Had I celebrated victory at my first 100 pounds lost I may have lost the overall war. I needed to lose 241 pounds and there was much work and commitment to be done. At my last appointment I had lost 223 pounds and there was an appropriate recognition and celebration of accomplishment with Dr. Dyer. I had turned a corner, my goal is within my grasp. I shared with him that I believe I received the care I had paid for; excellent surgical skill, excellent followup, high expectations and overall excellence for the entire experience. I chose wisely. His skill and personal approach with me was just what I needed to be successful. I recommend him without reservation. My RN friends who recommended him knew what they were talking about and I thank them for their candor.
My first impression of Dr Dyer is he MIGHT be a little shy (LOL)& IS very humble. From the first Seminar I went to, which he led, I KNEW he would be my surgeon. I had already contacted other patients of his to get their opinion & got nothing but praise about him. I have found Dr Dyer to be very professional, giving me all info about surgery pros & cons (complications). During the consult he was very patient with me, making sure if I had any questions they were answered.I had surgery on 02/28/2007 & his bedside care was exceptional,NOW that being said..The only MINUS anyone ever gave was \"he's \"standoffish\" ..NO HE IS NOT!..Dr Dyer is a SURGEON who \"knows his stuff\",he is very SERIOUS about you & your well being, while in the hospital, during consults & appointments he is about you & what is happening with your body, your health, your LIFE....He may not crack alot of jokes but heck I gotta enough for everybody!!! He has never RUSHED me, I have always felt that I was his #1 patient when he is with me. I give him a 150%...His staff has been very helpful & uplifting from day one. Which is better,Bedside manner or Surgical Competence...GET OUTTA TOWN...SURGICAL COMPETENCE,I have family & friends to hold my hand!!!!!!
My first impressions of Dr. David Dyer was he's a man who cares about his patients. I have never seen him rush or try to get out of the room. I respect him highly. His office staff is like family they call you by your frist name and the patients call them by there frist name. seams like most of them have has the sergery also so they know what we are going through. rnDr . Dyer has strongly urge me to attend the after care meeting . I have some and they help so much I urge any one to attend . Dr. Dyer held nothon back about the risk and complations of the surgery. Anything you need just call his ofice and they have it there or close by. When Dr Dyer is with you its like your the only patient hes has no one else matters. Thats my kind of doctor on a scale of 1- 10 I give Dr. David Dyer a 15.
Dr. Dyer is the very best. He has treated me so kindly and has been wonderful. The first time I saw him, I thought \"Wow! What a nice man!\" At that time, I really had no idea how wonderful he really was. Dr. Dyer helped me make a good decision about what was best for me. He sat down with me and outlined both types of surgery, as well as the risks and benefits of both of them. We decided that the gastric bypass was the best choice for me, as I had so much to lose. rnrnOn 11/06/05, he performed my surgery. It went very well. Since that time, he has been very supportive and has always been there when I needed something. He answers all my questions, but is not condescending. His office staff are all very supportive and they rejoiced with me at the beginning and throughout the journey of my incredible transformation. rnrnThe only thing I didn't like is the fact that he did not accept my insurance and it left me still owing a large sum of money to him, but I can honestly say it was worth every penny of it. rnrnThere is a very structured aftercare program and Dr. Dyer really wants his patients to attend them. rnrnOverall, I could not have asked for a more knowledgable caring surgeon. He is kind, caring and very supportive. He is the best of the best!
I really liked Dr. Dyer and am glad I used him for my Lapband surgery. I was very pleased with the pain management after the surgery and my incisions were very neat and healed well. I had my surgery in early November and have lost about 40 lbs. I am pleased with the results and did I have to do this again, would use Dr. Dyer again.
I thought he was truly a very compassionate and caring surgeon also very flexible. My impression has not changed. They are very friendly and accomadating. there's nothing negative t here is immediate trust. That it is very very important . Because he has all tools accessible and convenient for or where it is available. By not only showing illustration but also emphasising the dangers of not following careplan. On a scale of 1-10 a 10.
