Dr. Sudan is a very knowledgable surgeon. He is very helpful and informative.
Charity is his office nurse and she is GREAT. I call her all of the time and she always seems to have time.
Dr. Sudan requires you to go to an educational session before your first consultation. During this time, he details the different surgical options.
He also has a monthly support group meeting that is very helpful.

I attended Dr. Sudan's introductory class last night. It was very informative and he answered questions directly and so that all could understand. Dr. Sudan seems to be very personable and has a sense of humor as well. He described his relationship with patients as a "marriage" and a life-long committment. It's nice to know that he's as committed to follow-up care as the patients are. I am excited to get to know him better. I just wish it didn't take so long to get an appointment with him.

I LIKED THE DOCTOR VERY MUCH ,WAS VERY IMFORAVITE ABOUT WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW ,,ALL MY QUESTIONS..........

MY IMPRESSION HAASN'T CHANGED,I STILL THINK HE HE A AWESOME DOCTOR

THE STAFF AT HIS OFFICE ARE VERY NICE AND KNOW ALOT OF ANSWERS,ALSO THEY ARE VERY HELPFUL IN ALL THE AREAS

DOCTOR SUDAN IS VERY SUPER AND VERY GOOD DOCTOR...I WOULD RECOMMEND DOCTOR SUDAN TO ANYONE THAT IS THINKING ABOUT HAVING GASTIC BYPASS SURGERY DONE

HE TELLS YOU WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO DO AND EAT.AND HOPEFULLY YOU WILL FOLLOW THE PLAN.BUT THE SURGERY IS ONLY HALF OF IT,,,YOU HAVE TO WORK WITH IT ..EXCISE,EATING THE RITE FOODS,WATER,ETC.

DOCTOR SUDAN TELLS YOUEVERYTHING YOU CAN DO AND THINGS YOU SHOULDN'T DO..

HE WAS VERY UP FRONT WITH THE RISKS AND AFTER AFFECTS THAT MIGHT OF MAY NOT HAPPEN....

I WOULD RATE DOCTOR SUDAN AT THE HIGHEST IN THE FIELD OF THIS SURGERY ...

Dr Sudan was very informative, professional and he seemed liked he really cared about my health and well being. He has put me at ease about my upcoming surgery and he is willing to answer any questions I may have, If he is unavailable his nurse Susan is always available. Would reccommend him to anybody thinking about having surgery. He also offers an informational seminar the 3rd Monday of the month.

Dr Sudan hasn't emphasized much after care. I feel like I am struggling to keep up with what is going on with me. Just had a meeting with him and even though I feel the struggle he tried to answer all my questions

My first impression of Dr. Sudan was that he was a well educated, skilled surgeon and somewhat aloof. He was, however, kind and considerate of the feelings of individuals in the group meeting and called many by first name.

After meeting with him today (11-13-00), I found him to be all of the above, EXCEPT aloof. He was sincere, personable, and had a great sense of humor. He put me at ease and I didn't feel judged by my weight.

Dr. Sudan's nurse (whose name I don't recall) was very sweet and carried on a relaxed conversation as she took my temp, blood pressure, height, and weight. She escorted us to a room, where after a short wait, Charity arrived. She input my vitals, etc. into the computer. Charity was very sweet and did her best to make me feel welcome and wanted there.

I found nothing that I didn't like about Dr. Sudan. (I would like to have him not be so busy because I could get my surgery sooner. Totally self-serving, huh?)

Dr. Sudan insists that his patients be VERY informed and doesn't want them to make a decision about which surgery to have, or even if they want surgery, until they are aware of the risks and procedures of BDP and RNY.

Dr. Sudan includes a statement in his paperwork requesting your co operation in aftercare and he prefers to do the aftercare. He also wants his patients to be aware of the necessity of aftercare support and check ups. He has support meetings the 4th Monday of each month, which he attends, and may be attended by both pre op and post op patients.

Dr. Sudan was very clear about the risks of wls. He has informational meetings and covers in detail the risks and benefits of surgery.

I have only met Dr. Sudan once, but I liked him!

I would only want a competent surgeon, but would find another competent surgeon if the first one was rude - had a negative bedside manner. At this point I feel Dr. Sudan possesses both.

I have met with Dr. Sudan twice since I last posted, and like him beter and better. He is truly interested in the well being of his patients. Both the physical and emotional well being. He hand stitches the incision because he didn't want his patients to have to live with zipper effect the staples made. What a thoughtful thing to do. as I know that he does not get paid extra for this extra time.

Dr. Sudan was very prompt and professional. His nurse, Charity, was and is very helpful and friendly. They were fast in getting my insurance request sent off. Dr. Sudan is excellent with his aftercare, he attends a monthly support group meeting and requests that you see him regularly for follow-up visits.

I met Dr. Sudan at one of his informational sessions in June.
I found him to be very articulate, educated, caring, professional
and helpful.

I look forward to having him as my surgeon.

Dr. Sudan is a wonderful, kind, caring individual, and an extremely gifted and competent surgeon. He treats his patients with respect, and courtesy. He was very attentive to my needs in the hospital, and post-op. He and his staff are very accessible for questions and concerns, and all are taken seriously. He explains procedures in a manner that is easily understandable, and is very willing to answer any questions. He has an aftercare program and is truly dedicated to see that his patients meet with WLS success post-op. I feel very privileged and lucky to have had him as my surgeon for my Duodenal Switch surgery. I would give him the highest rating possible.

Very nice. Very focused on BPD/DS though. I understand the benefits of the BPD/DS over the RNY, but so much focus. His nurse Sue is very nice too, although I think she may be getting overwhelmed. It's heck to be popular! The Dr has educational meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and he facilitates a support group on the 4th Thursday of the month.
