MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS GREAT HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE MY FEELINGS IMPROVED OVER TIME AS I SAW HIM I WAS SURE THAT I WANTED HIM AS MY SURGEON THE OFFICE STAFF WAS ALWAYS EXCELLENT I CANT SAY THERE WAS ANYTHING I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT HIM I ONCE HAD AN APPOINTMENT AND HE DID NOT SHOW UP BECAUSE HE HAD AN EMERGENCY THE VERY NEXT DAY HE CALLED AND APOLOGIZED AND I AGREED ON A SURGERY DATE.FUTURE PATIENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT HE IS AN EXCELLENT DOCTOR AND SURGEON. AFTERCARE IS STRONGLY EMPHASIZED.YES HE DOES.YES HE WAS VERY UPFRONT ABOUT ALL THE RISKS AND BENEFITS.I RATE HIM 100%.EVERTHING ABOUT DR GORECKI AND HIS STAFF WAS EXCELLENT I WAS VERY PLEASED
I first met Dr. Gorecki when he did wls on my dd. I was very impressed with him, his experience and his credentials.
I continued to have a positive impression about him after I saw him professionally. His office staff is competent but very busy and give the impression of being busy. They do however return all phone calls and faxes. If there is a medical problem then Dr. Gorecki calls directly.
Dr. Gorcki encourages coming back for checkups on a regular basis.
Dr. Gorecki was very direct about the possiblities of surgical complications and his PA, Rachel repeated them to me and made sure that I understood them. He is a very capable and competent surgeon. He is chief of staff of Laprascopic surgery. He does not behave like a typical surgeon. He is warm and caring. He really seems to get to know his pts. and cares about them. I would recommend him highly to anyone interested in wls.
I think Dr. Gorecki is a great doctor, very knowledgable and doesn't sugar coat things, which I like, he was very direct about everything, the risk and the benefits. I liked him from the beginning but didn't think he was very friendly but that all changed after surgery. The day of surgery, he spoke to me and was very clear on what he was going to do. I walked into the OR, his staff was great and they just spoke to me, I wasn't nervous, they even checked out my tattoos and complimented them. I remember waking up in the OR, and my sister was there, she said that as soon as Dr. Gorecki finished with the surgery he went to her and was very sweet to her. He came to visit me in recovery and told me all went well and I was a good patient to operation on. Ever morning, his staff of drs came to visit me and change my bandages. He also came every morning and checked on me. I wasn't feeling very well because I developed alot of liquid in my lungs, so that day he came to visit me twice, and I was walking around he was like that is great you are walking he was like how does it feel, i was like besides my lungs being all crappy, i'm feeling good. So he started massaging my back, he was like this will help and have the nurse do this to you. He truly didn't have to do that, it was very sweet of him. When I went back to the office for my post op visit he was very attentive and took the evil drain out. So far, I don't have any problems to report, just praises!
When I first met Dr. Gorecki I thought he was going to be a creep Because he was very strict and he seemed as though he wouldn't be the type to let you get away with anything. In time I learned that the situation I was in was a serious issue and I had played to many games in life and that now it was time to take control of my life, and Dr. Gorecki and his staff showed me the way. All the people in the office have treated me as though they were going through the situation I was in and that made me feel comfortable. Dr. Gorecki is a wonderful doctor and I am glad I picked him to be my surgeon. He is a very busy man but he has always returned my calls, and has always answered my questions. I am very happy with the decision I made in choosing Methodist Hospital, everything was great before surgery during surgery and after surgery. I want to send a special thanks to (Dr.Goreki's assistant)Lillian, she is the best and also to Lisa, Nancy, Marlene, Rebecca, Dr. Mehta, Dr. Kassotis, Jessie, Maria, Adeline, Anika and Tammi for being very kind and patient with me through all my appointments.
First meeting was on September 27th, 2002.
At my consultation I did not have the privilege of meeting Dr. Gorecki. Instead I meet with his assistant Lillian.
The office staff was kind and informative. Since I am a Medicaid patient I can only attend his clinic. The clinic was packed and I waited almost 3 hours to be seen.
Future patients should know not to schedule appointments for Friday. I been told Tuesday are a better experience.
Lillian was very clear and forward with how the operation worked. I felt very comfortable with her explanation. She affirms that all decision is left to the patient.
I was informed of many things during my consultation. Everything form good thing to bad thing and even pre-op to post-op.
Since I have yet to meet with Dr. Gorecki I will wait on posting any personal feelings I had with him

Dr. Gorecki no longer sees Medicaid Patients. Hes Medicaid clinic is now seen once a week only.
Dr. Gorecki is one of seven surgeons in the US that does Lapriscopic surgery. He is very tough and strict. It is important that you take him very seriously or he may cancell your surgery date. He has his patients lose weight on their own before surgery if they dont he may have a problem with that. You must have lots of patients with Dr. Gorecki especially if you are a young male.
On another note Dr. Gorecki is an excellnt surgeon who knows what hes talking about. Above all he is there for any questions you may have. Although I have had my bad times with him I am glad I stuck with him. I am pleased with his service.
When I had my first experience with Dr. Gorecki I knew right off that he was the one for me. He gave me booklets and pamphlets and a questionaire to take home and review just to make sure I knew what to expect. His receptionist are also very well trained and mannered in this field. This was the first consultation I had with him, my next appt. is April 9th, whereby hopefully he will have a set date for the surgery.
He does emphasize that after care, to keep your weight down, you must be able to follow a life long-life changing plan.
All the risks of the surgery were explained by him, the receptionists and in the pamphlets they set me home with.
I cant yet say which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner as to me, they are both equally the the same. I didnt have the surgery yet but now I have a date-October 2, 2003!
Dr. Gorecki is a very informative Doctor, you can ask him anything and he will definitely give you a straight answer. Hi office staff s very helpful, an always return your calls.
I had my first meeting with Dr. Gorecki and his staff on 3/5/03. I must say that he was very informative and so was his staff. Especially his PA Lillian. Lillian gave me my physical and asked all the medical info. Dr. Gorecki answered all the questions and eased my mind of the concerns I had. He also emphasized that this was no quick fix, that the success and outcome depended on my ability to follow nutrition and instructions. I have another meeting in about two months, to go in depth about the surgery and post-op care. My only regret was my surgery date is so far away (5 months) unless someone cancels. Keep me in your prayers.
