I very much like Dr. Floch. He is very easy to be around. He is very supportive and he really encourages you to go to support groups. His staff is very nice. There are no magazines in his waiting room, so you need to bring a book. He and his staff emphasize aftercare and have semiars with lots of different speakers, one company came and spoke about dietary suppliments, and there was a personnel trainer. There was a clothing swap, and a clothing donation to a group who gets women off welfare and back into the workplace. He was very serious about the risks that you take when you have surgery. I wpuld give him an A+.

He made me feel very confidant in my decision.

It only change in a positive way.

Very warm, pleasant and always willing to help.

Nothing.

him and his staff will work with right up to your surgery day.

To the extreme.
Yes.

During our sugery plan visit he went over the risks. They are also talked about during meetings and support group.

Excellent.

Both are great, but i'll take surgical competence.

Dr. Neil Floch is an excellent surgeon and person. He not only gives me the medical support I need, but also the metal support as well. His staff is as excellent as he is. I am extremely lucky to have found him and am a much healther/happier person to have him in my life.

I love Dr. Neil Floch. He has a great bed side manner.

My impression of him only got better with the follow up visits.

The office staff is alway kind and professional.

That he is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him.

Yes, he sees his patients quit often after surgery. Every two weeks, once a month, then every six weeks and so on.

Overall my experience with Dr. Floch has been great. I am glad that I chose him to do the surgery.

I would think you need a doctor with both surgical competence and bedside manner. They need to know what they are doing, but also be able to keep there patients calm and comfortable about the surgery they are going to have.

My first impression of Dr. Floch was that I liked him right off the bat. My impression only got better over the past 8 months. His office staff is fantastic. There was not one thing that I didnt like about him. Future patients should know how nice he is and his office staff is. He emphasizes aftercare a great deal and his aftercare program in my opinion is structured. He went through the risks of surgery with me throughly. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Dr. Floch a 20. His surgical competence and bedside manner are GREAT!!!

Extremely through. Has a great sense of humor and really does care about the patient. At first you may feel just like another number, but once your in his hands so are well taken care of. I had some serious complications after the surgery but felt I was in the best hands possible. I never questioned thier expertise.

Everything was explained fully.

Excellent Doctor.

My initial impression of Dr. Floch was that he was young, but I had been assured by my Internest that he was THE guy to do this surgery, so I went forward with him. I am so glad that I stayed to find out what a knowledgeable, proffessional, and caring person he is. His staff and office are friendly, and I never felt like I was looked down on in any way. If I had to say anything bad about them it would be that it can take a long time to get an initial appointment. Also that the Flochs pracice is at Norwalk Hospital, and while Norwalk Hospital nurses are good, they lack some of the things that make a large person comfortable like king size gowns and big chairs enough to go around.
The best thing about the Floch's pracice is the total package that they bring to the table. You are set up with a nutritionist and a weight loss therapist pre op so that when you are post op your support group is already in place. Remember people, this is stomach surgery not brain surgery, and without the proper aftercare you will not reach your goal.
I was pleased with both the competance of my care to date and with the bedside manner of Dr Neil Floch and would reccomend him.

I met with both Dr. Zuccala and Dr. Garcia during my consult. Dr. Garcia explained the entire surgery, answered all of my questions, and gave me a quick exam. Then Dr. Zuccala came in with a resident, and also went over the surgery with me. The risks, benefits, etc. They wanted to make sure I understood what I am getting into.

He did emphasize the importance of aftercare, a lifelong commitment to taking vitamins, and that I need to attend the support group after surgery as well.

The office is very busy, but the whole staff is very nice. They answer all your questions without making you feel like you ask too many. I am also very impressed with the efficiency of his office. Overall, I would rate him and his office as great.
