Cleveland Clinic Florida Weston Bariatric Center
me and my 2 sisters loved dr. rosenthal, when i met him and talk to him he answered every single question. the good and the bad i just new in my heart this was the man to do my surgery.the hospital staff is wonderful. i dont like to praise people, but he was great of course with the help of one man [god].god watched over me and i no this.his office staff is great pam she takes down your history and stuff like that.then the doctor takes over.future patients can judge for themselves im sure they will see that this man noes what hes doing.and he doesnt mess around when it comes to his patients. he is very very serious when it comes to aftercare please come to your postop appts.if you dont they will be calling you. i rate my doctor a [10] his bedside manner and surgical skills are great. judge for yourself.
8/29/2001 The second Dr. Rosenthal came into the room I felt comfortable with him. He was very informative with all aspects of WLS and described them all, then suggested which one he thought would be best for me. He seemed very warm and sincere and answered all my questions in great detail. His office is at the Cleveland Clinic (Weston), they run things a lot different there compared to your regular doctor's office, but everyone I have delt with so far has been very nice. I would rate him overall (I've only seen him once so far) a 10 out of 10.
Hi all, well I have not met him I have my 1st consult 7/31/01. I had the appointment for almost 2 weeks but could not get to PCP until this morning, I was dreading that, as I have mentioned it before but he did not seem inthused, however with the assistance of this website, I went to him with a letter addressed to him and a copy of one which I am sending to cigna, (courtesy of Obesityhelp.com) SURPRISE no problem :) its Friday he was in a good mood LOL, now just need auth for consult and Im on my way, so I guess I could say Ive started my journey. Will update after 7/31. Wish me luck!

8/01/01 Well met him yesterday, he seemed very caring and supportive, he feels I am a good candidate for lap (YEA) had me right in with a hepatologist (i have a liver problem), and had xray and blood work done, now I just need to see his endocrinologist, have an upper gi and ekg, he believes surgery will be in about 1 month. I also met two women that were there for check up they could not say enough good things about him, one told me because she was alone, no family with her that Dr Rosenthal stayed in recovery with her untill she woke up, I think thats great, Well I will keep you posted :)I have nothing negative to say at this point.
I met with Dr. Rosenthal in March or April of 2001. I went with my sister and my mother. He was very thorough when he spoke to us. I felt very at ease and comfortable. The staff is great and very helpful. He discussed with us the difference between both procedures (the gastric bypass and the banding). He showed us what the banding will look like and what will happen aftewards.
I have to say that so far my thoughts of Dr. Rosenthall and his staff are that they are a group of very impressive people! I had no problems scheduling my appointments, and a reminder call was made 2 days before. When I met Dr. Rosenthal, he was very likeable! He explained to me three different types of surgery and why the gastric bypass was best for me. I thought he was very knowledgeable about everything we spoke about! I did not feel rushed at all, he spent plenty of time with me (and my questions...LOL). He is the Head of the Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery, which means he does lots of laproscopies! He has you meet with a nutritionist and a psychologist and through testing before the surgery. I am very happy to have found Dr. Rosenthal and his staff!
When I first met Dr. Rosenthal I thought he looked like a very nice doctor. I was very nervous, so I didn't know what to expect. I have become more impressed with how him and his staff are so organized and on top of making sure that you get all your necessary pre op doctor's visits. The staff seems to be very nice and seem to be very competent. There was nothing that I didn't like about him. He explained in detail the procedure and answered all my questions. He didn't try to rush his answers. He emphasized after care everytime you talk to him and he wants you to make sure that you understand this is a lifetime change, not just a quick fix. He is straight forward with the risks of the surgery. He lets you know of everything that can go wrong. I rate him a 9 out of 10. I would like surgical competence and bedside manner, but if I had to choose, of course it would be surgical competence.
