Dr Sonpal and his staff are very dedicated to their patients, though this may denimish after time as they are getting very busy,I hope for all concerened that they can heep the same level of servicing their patients.
Their senimars were very informing with emphasizes on all phases of the procedure, they answered all the questions so well that there was no t many questions in the Q A time of their program
Thus far as I have been working on the program all of my experiences have been positive,as time goes on my attitude may change

My first impression of Dr Schreiber was that of a man who know his job inside and out. He explains things very clearly and to the point, without an overly friendly outward appearence. I feel Dr Schreiber presents his knowledge of this major life changing surgery in such a way that I personally felt there was no way I could be in better hands. Tracy works in the office and she has been very kind and most helpful along this journey. As far as rating Dr Schreiber on his bedside manner, well I am not really intrested in his personality. Surgical competence is my main concern, and quite frankly I feel I have choosen the best person for the job. After all how many people can say that their doctor is also the chief of surgery in their field. Of course this is just my opinion, but I really do feel comfortable in my choice of Surgeons and in my decision to have this surgery. I only wish I had decided to have the surgery years ago.

My surgeon was highly recommended by my primary care doctor. I had originally planned to go through Cleveland Clinic and when I spoke to my doctor he thought the surgery was a great idea for me but I should have Dr. Schreiber. He said he was the best. I guess it took about a year to get the approval for the surgery. The doctors office did all the paper work. They would call and tell me to go for whatever test the insurance wanted. The doctors office was very helpful. At times it was a little frustrating trying to get a hold of them. I guess this procedures has become very popular and they were so busy. They have their own website where you can check to see how your insurance request is coming along. The doctor was very good. He was not real personable but, the staff more than made up for it. Some of the staff were actually patients which really seemed to help. I was very well informed of any risks and what to expect afterwards. I am very glad I made this choose.

My first impression of Dr. Sonpal was very positive. He was very friendly and understanding. And it only got better. He is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person, always there for his patients. The same thing goes for his staff.Everybody I dealt with was extremely helpful and friendly, and they did whatever they could to help me.The CCBS program at St. Vincent Charity Hospital puts a very big emphasis on aftercare. Not only do they offer support groups, they also schedule "graduations" and this year there will be a "Group Hug" for all patients and staff. The risks of surgery were explained to us in no uncertain terms before the surgery.Patients are required to attend an informational seminar before they will be considered for surgery, and in that seminar everything is explained very well. This continued during all the pre-op meetings, appointments and classes that are mandatory before surgery. On a scale from 1-10,Dr. Sonpal gets a rating of 12 from me,he is such a wonderful person! Both his surgical competence and his bedside manners are great,no complaints from me :-)

Dr. Schreiber came across as very caring. He is thorough and extremely professional. I would recommend him without hesitation.
The Cleveland Center for Bariatric Surgery at St. Vincent's Charity Hospital is a first rate program. It is comprehensive and the staff is very involved with your procedure and recovery.
The CCBS has an extensive aftercare program.

He was informed, experienced and straightforward.
It did not change.
The staff of CCBS was wonderful, helpful and answered all questions.
He was perhaps a bit stiff in bedside manner, though never haughty or offensive.
If you ask a question you get a very direct answer.
Aftercare is highly stressed. And the program is very structured.
I was informed of all the risks of surgery by Dr. Schreiber. I was also given a good deal of printed information about that topic.
I would rate Dr. Schreiber as a top-notch surgeon.
I think his surgical competence is better than his bedside manner, however his bedside manner was good enough for me.

Great personality, very funny
no
ran very smooth considering the amount of patients they deal with on a daily basis
nothing
he's a busy man
very well
aftercare by staff is excellent
very informative with mandatory lecture prior to surgery...small books to read from pre surgery to post surgery care.
surgical competence is better...beside manner is ok too, but brief due to volume of patients to oversee. I had a very positive experience all the way around.

Man of few words dealt with the facts and wanted to know if I havd throughly researched and thought about the seriousness of this surgery. By reading this site prior to my appointment I knew what to expect. His office staff and especially his asst.Tracy was very helpful. He stressed the whole process is what you need to think about long term and gave me an article on high calorie grazing. This was very helpful. I would give him an A.
