From the moment i met Dr Peter's i found him to be a very caring and considerate doctor. As my time progressed to my surgery date, he was one of the few people i found to really be concerned about me losing the weight in the correct fashion and put my mind at ease about the surgery and what to expect. After my surgery and some complications arised. Dr Peter's kept a watchful eye over me personally until i was out of the woods. To this day, he has always been their whenever i have had problems with keeping food down or some other medical reasons. He is more then a Doctor to me, but someone i like to refer as a friend. He is my own personal Hero! I have met many Doctor's in the medical profession, but he has proven to be the most respectful and caring one to date so far. If anyone has ever had any doubts about a surgeon, meet Dr Peter's and i am sure he'll put your mind at ease. How many other Surgeons/Doctors do you know that will call you back personally to ask what the problem might be, most dispense medications without even looking at you, but not Dr Peter's. He is the Man!

<b>My 1st visit was w/ Dr. Wynn, but she was going on Maternity leave. She was very informative and down-to-earth. She stated she has done/assisted with over 900 WLS in the past 4 years. I also met Dr. Iragau, who ended up being my suergon. He was extremly friendly and made sure ALL of my questions weren't left unanswered. They did explain the risks to me (1-200 deaths for GB and 1-2000 for LB). They emphasized that aftercare and follow thru is CRUCIAL.

Their office staff is extremly helpful and friendly. I feel VERY comfortable there. The surgery coordinator, Misty, is SO easy and nice to work with. She did ALL the work for me. (BIG shout outs to... Caroline & Nicki) :-)

On first meeting Dr. Peters, he presented a very serious, business-like personality, which I decided is good, because making this life changing decision serious business. He made sure I was comfortable, informed, and determined before he allowed anything to move forward. It was during this pre-op period with all the "clearance-work" that I saw the gentle sense of humor within the businessman-doctor. I am confident in his training and skill, and I go into this surgery knowing I have a Dr. who is prepared for everything and can handle anything.

My first impression was a good one. I felt comfortable talking to Dr. Irgau. He seemed very knowledgeable about the surgery and told me very to the point what I could expect and what would be expected from me. He was up front about the dangers of the surgery and I felt that he truly likes helping people. His staff is great. They answered any questions I had with ease and several of the girls have also had the surgery, so some of it was first hand knowledge. They were very quick in obtaining the approval from my insurance. I really like the fact that you know upfront the risks and what you can expect from the surgery as long as you follow what the doctor tells you. They made me understand each step that I needed to take to be successful with the surgery. They do have a structured aftercare program that I feel very comfortable with. I give Dr. Irgau an big #10. I am so happy that I found him and that he did my surgery. My whole experience was so much better than I had expected.

When I met Dr. Peter's I found him to be very business like (consult). Asking me why I wanted the surgery and then explaining my options and risks of each option. He as very informative and I was pleased with him. I did not see him again until my pre-surgery appt 1 week before my surgery. He was pretty much the same. My surgery went very well and once I had reached this point I found him to be, without a doubt, the most compassionate doctor I have ever had. He is caring and listens. He has a wonderful bedside manner and a refreshing since of humor. Is he the best out there? I don't know, I've not met many in this area of expertise. But I can say this. He was/is the best for me.

I have only met with Dr. Irgau one time, but my impression of him is that he is a very caring person. He put both my husband and my minds at ease the monment we started talking to him. I have heard nothing but positive things about him and am really looking forward to having a good relationship with him during this long journey I am about to take.

My first impression of Mr.Michael Peters Jr. is that he is very handsom. I love to have good looking people around me no matter what their size. He is thin has dark brown hair.
My impression of him has not changed at all. The first time I meet with him I told him that I needed to include my sister Gerogia in the conversation but she was at work at the New York Times in NY. I asked if we could conference her in. He said that he had never used that feature on this new phone and was not sure it even had that feature. I showed him how to work it and we went from there. He made the long distance call and introduced himself to my sister and then he started talking to me and refering to my sister some times in the conversation. He had nothing to hide and I really like that. The office staff is wonderful. Several of the women in the front office have had WLS and are more than happy to talk about it and answer any questions that you may have. I can't say that there is anything I didn't like about him except that he wouldn't do a tummy tuck while he already had me under.:) He has not been doing WLS long however he has been doing lap surgerys for a while and he does surgery with a senior surgeon all the time nothing to be affaid of, I love him. Not just for his good looks either. He does not play when it comes to after care. He wants to see you for any and all reasons. I am not sure if he has structured aftercare other than the norm. No lifting, take vitamins, stuff like that. He went over all the risks of surgery in our first meeting and my post op check-up and before he did surgery. I would give him a 10. He did not give me his cell phone number like I have read that some of the doctors on this site have done for patients however I was not nervous or anything. I was well informed about the surgery before I even went to see him. I was ready for surgery the same day I went to visit him the first day. I feel he has great surgical competence and bedside manner. I still didn't get my tummy tuck :(
