Bergen Laparoscopy & Bariatric Associates Bariatric Center
Well, it's been three and a half years since Dr Ibrahim performed my lapband procedure. Just as he informed me from the get go, the process would be a several year commitment. Like most obesity patients, I wanted the weight to drop yesterday. Rather then having this mentality, I decided on a different approach. I made the decision for the lapband in order for the weight to decrease gradually. To date I've shed 135lbs, and have 20 more to goal. Dr Ibrahim is a top notch surgeon. Choosing him for my procedure was by far the best decision I've ever made. Every single office visit that I have, Dr Ibrahim is ALWAYS consistent. He provides superior service, and is always willing to answer any questions or concerns that arise. Also, Lana the resident RN is always there to assist, with a smile on her face. In addition, the doctors personal skills are wonderful, always putting ones mind at ease. I find it amazing that this guy is savings lives everyday, and never shows any signs of being haughty or pretentious. What you see is what you get..... A GREAT MASTER SURGEON THAT KNOWS AND APPLIES HIS STUFF. You need to look no more for the right bariatric surgeon. First impression was fine. Both doctors Ibrahim and Strain conducted a 1 1/2 Hour seminar about the various bariatric weight loss procedures including all the benefits and associated risks. There was a slide presentation, including a wealth of surgical info. He also passed around the lapband as well, which was pretty interesting. His office staff are very competent. Future patients should know that I traveled 1 1/2 hours to Englewood Hospital to have the procedure done. This facility and the doctors on staff are in my estimation one of the best in the tri-state area. (Just a side point) After researching almost every cardiac thoracic surgeon in the PA, NY, and NJ area I decided to have my triple by-pass surgery there, in 2006. I would rate him very high for surgical competence, and bedside manner. I haven't found any negatives yet. But there's still time!!
I had my Gastric Bypass on November 13, 2002. Gastric Bypass was the best thing I have ever done for myself. After loosing 200+ lbs, I feel like I have gotten my life back! My care was excellent! I can't say enough good about my decission to have weight loss surgery. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected], I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about my experience with Gastric Bypass.
When I met Dr. Ibrahim, I had a very good impression of him. He made me feel very comfortable and more relaxed. His surgery cooridnator is excellent. They seem very caring. They run the support group.rnrnThey have the best staff around. They have turned their program into a full service program. They keep you in the loop. If you are denied they try to work with you with exercise and nutrition. They have a structured aftercare program. Much more evolved then when I first had the surgery. rnrnWhat I like the best about them is that they really care and fight for you. You are not just another number to them. My impression of them only gets better with time.rnrnChristine Robinson was the best. Without her I would have never won my appeal for my revision. She knows her stuff. She fights the insurance companies etc.
very competent. I had great care. Very informed and did not try to sugar coat the risks. My follow-up appointments were all conducted by Dr. Alperovich. Since Dr. Strain has moved I am now a patient of Dr. Alperovich. Both were involved with my surgery. I think Dr.A is fantastic. he is very dedicated to his patients and his work.
