Bariatrics of Texas Bariatric Center
I was so impressed by Dr.Warnock when I went to my consult. I felt like he genuinely cared about me, and wanted to inform me to the best of my ability, and answer all of my questions.
I think that anyone who goes to him should expect to be almost in awe. He has such a strong spiritual being that he can't help but feel that. I had planned to go to his office and bombard him with questions, this was because I had gone to my sisters consult with Dr.Luis Gorospe, but when he came into to talk to me I suddenly became speechless and just felt very comforted by him.
Dr.Warnock really insists that he keep up with you after surgery for at least 2 yrs. He also emphasizes for women not to become pregnant in the first 2yrs. post-op.
He is very good at informing you about all the things that could go wrong.
Overall I would have to say he is one of the best doctors I have been exposed to. Being in the medical field I have been exposed to many doctors, and through all the illnesses that I had. I still have to say that he has the kindest, most informed bedside manner. He is simply wonderful!!
The only thing I have not liked is having to play phone tag with his nurse.
First impressions count, Dr. Warnock and his staff are the best. Had my first consultation with him April 5, 2001. Nobody likes to go to the doctor but he makes you feel very comfortable, he is very caring about you and your needs. He is actually a pretty good artist too--yeah he sure can draw a good picture of a stomach--He really wants you to understand what you need to do before and after the surgery. He makes sure you know the pros and cons. He suggested that I go to a support meeting and check out obesityhelp.com. He wants his patients to be informed. Ever seen an angel in cowboy boots?
3-12-01 I finally met with Dr. Warnock yesterday. He's everything anyone has ever said about him. Angel in cowboy boots & more. He explained the surgery pro's & con's & after care very thoroughly to me & asked if I or anyone in my family had any questions or concerns that he could put to rest for us. He even drew a picture of the procedure he will perform. I actually walked out of his office feeling very knowledgable about it all. His secretary Debbie was on spring break, so I didn't get to meet with her, but I will be talking to her on Monday, so that she can set me up for pre-op stuff. I wish it was tomorrow. I'm so ready.
I felt Dr. Warnock was a very knowlegable man. He came highly recommended. I had heard of him long before I knew he even did the bariatric surgery. He was very gentle and was concerned about me. I am thankful that he is in my area. He was very thorough in explaining the surgery.
As far as the other people in his office, the lady that handles the insurance is very helpful. She is the main one I've had contact with so far.
My first impression of Dr. Warnock was.. wow!! finally a docotr that will talk to me like i am a worhty person! he explained everything in detail, not sugar coating anything. he let me know what was going to happen and explained that this is not a today thing, that this is a for the rest of your life thing!! his staff is great. no one complains when you call with a question or concern. before going into surgery he came in the holding room and re-assured me that everything was going to be just fine! after it was over the care i got at the 11th st. hospital was amazing! they are so nice there. i have never gotten better care before so it was kinda hard to believe at first! but everyone was great. there is no way or any words to say how much i thank Dr. Warnock for being so kind. hes the best!!!!
My first impression of Dr. Warnock began before I ever actually met him. I was sitting in the waiting room for my consultation and I met one of his patients. Carol was there to set up her appointment for her tummy tuck. She had the surgery 11 months ago and had lost from a size 26 to a size 8. She looked marvelous. She talked a lot about Dr. Warnock and I have never heard anyone speak so highly of a doctor before. What most impressed me was the fact that he came to her room and prayed with her prior to the surgery. That's my kind of doctor. I was not disappointed when I met him. I have every confidence in him. He was honest, forthright, and considerate. He took the time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. He didn't sugarcoat any information, explaining the possible negative side effects. He asked how my husband felt about it, if he was supportive and he asked if I had prayed about it. That meant a lot. the fact that he is a Christian is very important to me. There was nothing about him I did not like. I don't know much about the aftercare but he did say that he would keep a close eye on me and that even after he releases me I will still have to see him at least once a year. I think he is a real Godsend!
Dr. Warnock, Debbie, Robin and all the people in Dr. Warnock's office have been wonderful! I think I've driven them crazy worrying about whether my insurance would pay or not. (it will - yea!) Dr. Warnock, a part-time cowpoke, as he calls himself, is a very kind Christian man. He told me both sides of the surgery and told me to go home and talk it over with my husband and let him know later what my decision would be. I knew then but I did as he told me to and after talking to my husband and lots of prayer I told Debbie to get started. I feel very safe with Dr. Warnock and I have a peace in my spirit that only God has given me about Dr. Warnock.
