Wow I don't even know where to begin with Dr.Friedman, He's just amazing! I seriously have NOTHING negative to say about him. He is very friendly, Which some doctors can so SO arrogant He is so not. He is very thorough, Explains everything very well. Will listen to all your concerns and answer any questions. He makes you feel so comfortable. He genuinely cares about each and every patient. Your treated like a person and not like a number. His office is very well ran, everyone in the office is so sweet and really takes the time to get you know you. I went to a different surgeon to start {Dr.Lord} and I'm so happy i ended up at Friedman, In my option he's so much better than Dr. Lord. Again nothing i can say bad. If your thinking of having surgery He's the one to go to! Thank you so much Dr.Friedman! : )
Well being as I am an employee of BHC I must say this. If you are an employee and happen to want your procedure done outside network like SHH, DON'T. We were informed that we could but of course would pay a higher co-pay and followed through. Well roughly twelve months and 600 dollars later. My wife was given approval from BCBS only one problem. I could absolutely, positively could not go outside of network. So ultimately it was done at BHC and SHH (MD Lord's) office was useless in assisting or saying were sorry. Oh well no big deal. The same Doctor we wanted at SHH trained our new doc at BHC. Doctor Friedman and his office staff were amazing. Went in for preliminary visit January 14 and had approval to proceed that following week. He gets you in quick as long as you have gotten your preliminary testing and required insurance stuff done. The procedure itself went fantastic with great follow-up in the hospital to make sure his patient was comfortable and taken care of. This Doc is a up and comer with the BHC Bariatric Center of Excellence and is sure to continue on great and awesome things. He and his staff are great at explaining everything entailed with your procedure and provide great support afterwards. Overall rating would be nothing more than an A+.
Dr.Friedman gave me a very relaxed and confident first impression. He is very serious when it comes to his patients well- being, he wants each and everyone of us to succeed with our surgery and the recovery. He explains everything you need to know about the surgery and the recovery process. The main thing that impressed me about Dr.Friedman was when I saw him actively participate in the "Meet the Doc" seminar and the "Support Group". I expected for his staff members to conduct the meetings but that was not the case at all. Dr.Friedmans staff is absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. They all work together to make the patient feel apart of the team and make sure we have anything and everything we need for our surgery. Thank you to all of Dr.Friedmans' staff and thank you Dr.Friedman for making this a very easy process. 3 months to get everyhting done and approved is very remarkable. Thanks!!
What can i say first impression of Dr Friedman was very good very friendly and understanding on what my needs were... Dr Friedman and his staff are like family and they treat you like family and the utmost respect and make sure your every need is met above and beyond..What future patients should know is Dr Friedman is the best surgeon in Pensacola Florida by far for bariatric needs...The aftercare program is very structured and informative...In my case of the risks of the surgery were very high by far I have a lot of health issues, Dr Friedman was very up front and very truthfull as to all the risk that we would incur with surgery. I am proud to say we had no issues during surgery and none so far after surgery I am doing very well and my results are looking amazing in the short time since surgery. Dr Friedman is excellent in all aspects of his care from the surgical aspect to the after care and bedside manners..If you want a superior Doctor in the bariatric field choose dr Friedman and his staff, I promise you will not be disappointed he is the best....The hospital and its staff are also the best in care before and after...Baptist Hospital is number 1 in Pensacola Fl. Thank You Dr. Friedman and staff you have changed my life for the best.......
Gosh well at the meet the doctor meeting in October he presented himself as a very confident surgeon..this is ultimately what I care about. He gave tons of information and I did not know there was anything knew to learn after my year of thorough research. There were more benefits than I thought and the risks were made very clear. I will get a more acurate impression on Dec 2 at my consult. I hope he has good bedside manner, most people say so, but if not I am happy to be safe and with a confident surgeon with good credentials. I hope to get scheduled for January....rnok coming back to say that the consult was great! He and his staff made me feel happy to be there and reassured of my decision! Poor Dr F even put up with my father which isn't always easy.
Dr. Nye and his staff have been wonderful. They have been so kind and caring from the very beginning and have gone out of their way to make sure my surgery happened and make sure I am doing well before and after the surgery. I could not have made a better choice in surgeons. Dr. Nye obviously cares a great deal for all of his patients. His after care plan is set up to make sure you have the easiest recovery possible. At times sticking to the aftercare diet is not so easy but it is very much in your best interest to follow it to a tee.
My first impression of Dr. Friedman was man this guy is young and very confident. I do seem to think that is a good trait in a doctor. The time it took from first visit to surgery was only six weeks so I would have to say I was really impressed with Dr. Friedman's staff. The surgery went very smoothly, all doctors and nurses were very attentive and informative. I tend to ask a lot of questions. Post-op hospital stay was ok, how can anyone say much positive about this, you hurt, your in unfamiliar surroundings, and the nurses are over worked. I did manage to survive the first night which was rough, but I healed quickly and with in two weeks I was back in the hospital with my wife while she had her by-pass surgery which also went smoothly. Dr. Friedman was in to check on us no less then twice a day some of his staff also dropped by. From pre-surgery diet to first post-op visit I had lost 22 lbs. Suddenly I feel like life has possibilities again and I feel like Dr. Friedman has asked me to become a part of his bariatric family on my journey to a new me. Thanks, Dr. Friedman you saved me.
My first impression of Dr. Friedman was at the "Meet the Doctor" seminar, and it was a good impression. Over time, that impression has diminished. My first office appointment he answered his cell phone during, and it appeared to be a personal call. My other visits with him have always been very brief. He has specific things to ask and when I would try to elaborate on something he would cut me off and go to the next question. I will say that everyone on his staff that I have dealt with has been WONDERFUL. I've called a few times and always been treated with respect and had my questions answered. I wish Dr. Friedman's bedside manner would improve. Maybe this is a recent thing, I read reviews on here and it doesn't seem to be the norm for him. However all of my appointments with him have felt rushed. With other staff members that was not the case though. Dr. Friedman did a wonderful job with my actual surgery, as far as I can tell--which in the long run is better than having a good bedside manner and poor surgical skills. Perhaps in the future I'll meet with the nurses, etc if I want to spend more than a few minutes with them.
My first impression of Dr. Friedman was good. He seemed professional. However, over time I came to realize that Dr. Friedman just thought of me as a proceedure and not as an individual. He was not empathetic and practically dismissed my pain and discomfort. His staff seemed to follow his example. Dr. Friedman and his staff could use some more training in compassion and empathy and respect for the individual as more than a statistic and a paycheck.
My first impression of Dr Friedman was that he was committed to helping his patients make better lives for themselves. I appreciated most, I believe, that he is interested in giving his patients the information they need to make the choices that are right for them. He has that magic combination of surgical skills and interpersonal skills to make him the perfect choice for those who are making sweeping physical and emotional changes. His office staff could not be better. I never expected so much support and help as I have gotten both before and after my surgery. I honestly feel I could call them with any problem and, most importantly, for the first time in my up and down weight life, I know I am going to be successful in losing the weight and keeping it off. Making that initial appointment with Dr Friedman was by far one of the best things I have ever done for myself!
