Dr. Klein seems to be very good. His patients can't say enough good things about him. He has been known to drop everything to go and check on a patient who may be experiencing problems. He is also very motivational. He's been doing these types of surgeries for a long time and knows which ones have the best outcomes. I don't think I could have found anyone better.

The office staff is great. Some of them have worked with Dr. Klein and have changed jobs to contine to work with him because they are so loyal. There has never been a time when I haven't been treated kindly and with respect.

I have attended a couple of the support meetings that Dr. Klein's office offers and have found them to be very helpful. They are great times to answer all the questions everyone has as well as to make connections with others who are in the same place you are.

They have been very thourough in their testing and in informing me and my husband of exactly what will be done and what the risks are.

I believe that Dr. Klein is blessed because he is both a very gifted and experienced surgeon as well as being extremely concerned about his patience.

My first impression of Dr Klein was that he was a very professional man and very busy man as well. He talked to me about the surgery and made sure that I understood everything about the surgery he really care about his patients. His staff is wonderful as well they will answer any questions you have or get someone to answer questions that they can't answer. After the surgery everytime time I would see Dr. Klein he would always have a big smile on his face joking and what not, I believe I could not have picked a better surgeon for me, he has over 20 years experience and his own way of doing things which makes him stand out from the rest. he makes sure you are in the office every week after your sugery to get updates and to see if you have any new concerns that I might have regarding the healing process. I would like to thank Dr.Klein for changing my life for the better.I would recommend anyone to try Dr. Klein, you could'nt ask for a better surgeon.

I allready had a good idea about how Dr. Klein would be before I met him because my friend who had the surgery before me raves about how wonderfull he is. When I met him I knew right away he was just as great as she had said. He is very honest and I felt very comfortable with him.I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having this surgery. Everyone in the office is very nice and they make you feel comfortable.

I LIKED DR. KLEIN RIGHT AWAY. HE HAD A SENSE OF HUMOR, BUT WAS STRAIGHT TALKING AND TO THE POINT. MY IMPRESSION DID NOT CHANGE.
HIS OFFICE STAFF IS ALWAYS HELPFUL, ALTHOUGH VERY BUSY.
IF I HAD TO PICK SOMETHING, NOT THAT I DISLIKED IT PARTICULARLY, IT WAS THAT FACT THAT HIS ROUNDS WERE IN THE EARLY A.M.

DON'T SEE HOW HE KEEPS UP THE LONG HOURS. A VERY DEDICATED MAN AND AN EXCELLENT SURGEON.
HE HAD A VERY GOOD AFTERCARE PLAN, WHERE YOU SEE EITHER HIM OR A NURSE PRACTIONER AND HAVE BLOOD DRAWN EACH WEEK UNTIL ABOUT WEEK 5 OR 6.

HE WAS VERY OPEN AND HONEST ABOUT THE RISKS OF SURGERY. I WOULD RATE HIM OVERALL AS EXCELLENT.

DR. KLEIN IS VERY FRIENDLY I GOT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM WHEN I FIRST MET HIM. AND I AM BIG ON FIRST IMPRESSIONS. HE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING IN DETAIL AND IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING HE WILL GO OVER IT UNTIL YOU DO. MY IMPRESSION OF HIM IS STILL THE SAME IT HASNT CHANGED. I REALLY LIKE HIM AND HIS OFFICE STAFF IS EVEN MORE WONDERFUL THEY KNOW EVERYONE BY FIRST NAME AND DONT HESITATE ON LENDING A HELPING HAND WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES. I RECOMMEND DR. KLEIN TO ANYONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT HAVING WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY EVEN IF YOUR NOT SURE ABOUT IT THEN YOU SHOULD ATTEND THE MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS. I DONT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM. HE IS TOTALLY ALL ABOUT AFTER CARE YOUR IN THE OFFICE ABOUT ONCE A WEEK AFTER SURGERY NOT TO MENTION THE CARE YOU GET IN THE HOSPITAL. ONLY TWO NURSES CARE FOR YOU AFTER SURGERY AND I THINK THATS BETTER THEN SEEING A LOT OF DIFFERENT ONES. LIKE I SAID BEFORE I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DR. KLIEN IF THERE THINKING OF SURGERY AND AS FOR ME I WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.

Dr. Klein was very nice. He seems no-nonsense but very thorough in that it takes a long time to see him because he wants to make sure you are ready and have made the commitment by following through with all the pre-op testing. He was very busy when I and my fiancee met him, he was coming back froma from a boating vacation. Seemed like everyone had a question to ask him during my appointment with him. I was in there for about 2 1/2 hours. Make sure you use the restroom before you go because it's in another office down the hall. (Boy did I have to go!!!) I did feel like I was getting quized on the information which had me flustered at times but he goes through all the information that you aren't sure of. He addresses all the risks. He's had 9 deaths in the 2000+ surgeries he's performed, 7 of those were people over 600 lbs. He gives a packet containing the shots and a video so we know what to expect and to help prevent against blood clots. (My main concern!) He says since he's started that, there have not been any major problems. I feel confident in Dr. Klein. I don't know yet how his bedside manner is, but he was easy to talk to and very friendly.

The doctor and staff were wonderful. The staff has been with him for a long time which was refreshing. They were truly experts in this field. This is a doctor that is really a patient avdocate. Everything was explained in detail and the surgery was sculpted just for me.

I never felt rushed and was able to get all my questions answered properly.

Aftercare was empasized greatly with realistic talk that made me realize that it was a joint effort.

My first impression of Dr. Klein was that he was very informed about what he was doing, smart, and wanted his clients to be thoroughly informed also about what they are getting into. i feel that he completely gives patients the risks of wls in his meeting with you, holding nothing back inviting you to please go to at least one of the support group to see and hear the good, bad, and the ugly experiences of other patients. At my first meeting with him, i liked him and felt confident that he had been blessed with the knowledge and talent to perform this life changing surgery. his staff is helpful and personable. Dr. Klein is very lucid on how important after care is and for the first three weeks out, he makes sure he sees you in the office every week which is a good thing and your totally invited to call with any questions or concerns before and after surgery. Overall my experience was good and like i said before i believe he very competent in performing this surgery, very thorough, and has a good bedside manner.

I love my surgeon! Dr. Klein is a brilliant man who is the ultimate team player. His whole staff from the front office to the nurse practitioners are all just great. I am lucky to have a doc who has bedside manner and surgical competence. He has performed over 2,000 bariatric surgeries with only 9 deaths, 8 of who were people who weighed over 550 pounds and all but one was from pulmonary embolism. However, since he started sending patients home with anticoagulant injections he hasn't had a single death from blood clots. He's the best and I am grateful to have found him.

A week after surgery I can still say I love my surgeon, only more! He is so attentive to every detail and keeping everything balanced. He does make his rounds at 1:00 am and you don't see him much, but he is making all the decisions based on lab work and all the feedback from nursing staff. You may not see him but he is hard at work, caring for you.

The aftercare program is very structured. I am already seeing him on Wednesday (went home Sunday) because a couple of things are out of balance and he wants to see how I'm doing with his adjustments and make any other necessary adjustments.

The nurses at the hospital who care for Dr. Klein's patients have all had special training and are absolutely an extention of Dr. Klein. He relies on them heavily and they respecty him greatly and love working with him and his patients. That says a lot to me. I honestly do not think I could have had a better surgeon!

There are personal things that people might not like about Dr. Klein i.e. he makes hospital calls at 1:00 am and he only sees you long enough to check your wound but I honestly, at this point, cannot think of anything genuninely negative about him. I think the only complaints would come from people's expectations of more direct contact with him. He doesn't waste any time visiting, but as a physician, I think he's the best. I got the TLC I needed from the nurses.

After I wrote the above, I had some complications and had to be rehospitalized twice, and still believe that I had the best surgeon available. Twice Dr. Klein met me at his office at 11:00 at night so I wouldn't have to go to the emergency room. He does this because he wants to see and know exactly what is going on with his patients, rather than leaving it up to another doctor to relay information to him.

The first time I went back in the hospital it was because my wound was infected and I was in for six days. I then had to see him every week so he and his nurse practitioners were carefully monitoring my blood work and the progression of the wound healing, even though I was seen by home health care nurses every other day.

The second time I was rehospitalized it was for pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism so he asked my internist to be the admitting physician. However, Dr. Klein still saw me almost every day and read my chart every day because my wound was still healing.

Again, if what you want is somebody who spends a lot of time with you, Dr. Klein is not the doctor for you. However, the nurse practitioners are excellent.
