Dr. Ahmad has been wonderful. He is so kind and gentle. He tr uly cares for his patients. The office staff is caring and thoughtful. They definitely helped me through everything.rnIt's been a year now and I am so happy about my results. People I haven't seen in a while don't recognize me. I am off all of my meds. The doctor and his wife have been so supportive and helpful through the whole experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking of having surgery.

Imet with Dr ahmad last week and his wife Seema and was pleasently suprised by their kindness and compassion. They were attentive and very open. I immediately felt comfortable with both of them. The office staff is also wonderful! Both the girls are out going and very calming through this crzy process. Plus they have already been through this experience which is calming in itself. I hav e no complaints, hospefully iit will stay that way, lol!He was very clear about what to expect, he went through my goals for wls and my support system. Which I was comforted to see.

For all my life, I've had a problem with my weight. After many, many failed attempts at losing weight, I decided to get the Lap-Band. The surgery went great and I initially lost a lot of weight. Followups are very important. My Surgeon, Dr. Ahmad, was great; very professional and knowledgeable. Support Group meetings and follow-up appointments are crucial for success in the weight loss process.

Dr. Arif Ahmad is a wonder, caring and compasionate surgeon. He is friendly and easy to talk to. His wife and the staff are great. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmad.

First let me say I bless the day I met Dr. Ahmad and his wife Seema. Originally, I was scheduled to go to one of his seminars 3 years ago but life got in the way. What brought me to Dr. Ahmad now is (don't laugh) a bone spur in my heel. I went to my primary care doctor and asked his NP what she thought about bariatric surgery. She told me she had many patients that have had it. She mentioned a few doctors but when she said \"Dr. Ahmad\" I said speak no more. I knew of Dr. Ahmad because I work at Stony Brook Unversity. I went home, called and made an appointment to attend the seminar the next week. At the seminar I made an appointment to see him on 3-27-07. I met with this kind, wonderful, compassionate man on that day. I also met Seema, his wife, who assists him. I just love her she is always so kind and helpful and willing to listen. Well, Seema set me up with an appointment sheet and I then went home and started the calls to make the appointment. Everything went well and I had my surgery on 5-2-2007. This is my 6th day after surgery (I had the gastric bypass) and I feel wonderful. I want to thank Dr. Ahmad, Seema and their wonderfull office staff for making this one of the best decisions I have ever made. I fully respect Dr. Ahmad and Seema and I intend to do everything they say to make this a success. Dr. Ahmad is the best surgeon and person you can hope to meet.

I was tired of being heavy and unhappy. Now, i'm happy and making moves towards smaller sizes and feel content. Dr. Ahmad is a gentle, kind man. He has a very sweet bedside manner. He loves what he does. His wife is a wonderful woman, whom never tires of hearing from you. Support groups here are excellent and youch on everyone there. The office help is very experienced and promote the lifestyle change.

DR.Ahmad is one of the most competant surgeons That I know, he is excellent at what he does, as a Dr. he is respected in his field and has a fabulous bedside manner. As far as his staff they are all professionals and friendly, they know your name, Seema is fantastic very helpful and knowledgeable

my doctor is the kindest man. he is positive and did a wonderful job. his wife is part of his staff and she so helpful. he is the best on long island and i would recomend him to anyone.. he is an 11 on a scale of 1-10

Dr Ahmad and everyone on his staff are very accomodating and friendly. They all make you feel comfortable. Dr Ahmad has a wonderful bedside manner and my incisions are healing beautifully due to his surgical expertise.

I'm a trim carpenter/musician, and i was losing the battle against my weight until now. i'm married, and i needed help. My surgeon, Dr. Ahmad, and his staff helped me in countless ways. Besides the surgery, all the info and guidance they provided was invaluable and life-saving and live changing. i've missed some support group meetings and i felt that had i gone, i would have had more information i could use. from now on i will be attending.
