Well I've done it.  I'm actually below my doctors goal weight for me which is 150. My one year surgiversary will be the 28th and I wanted to be at goal by 1 year!  I had a personal goal of 145 but my doc says that is too low.  Well I weighed in a 148 yesterday  morning.  I do need to learn maintenance and am going to be working on that but I'm very excited about where I am and staying here. 
After the 28th I'll do the before and after pics (which I'm sure I'll need  help on where to submit them). 
WoW!  What a journey and it's only really just begun... Now to me is the true test, making sure I have faced my food demons and bad habits to maintain a healthy weight the rest of my life.   This is the true challenge.

I bought Size 8 Ralph Lauren jeans today!  (Resale shop)..
But size 8!!!! That is my goal size...I'm so EXCITED!

I find it ironic that we are so excited about our bariactric surgery dates and await them with baited breath.. but when one gets the news that cancer has come back and I will have to have surgery again .. this is not anything I'm looking forward too.
At any rate my surgery date is October 20th, I could have gone with another surgeon and gotten in sooner but I wanted the best and sometimes you have to wait for the best.  I have been reassured we caught this early enough that waiting until Oct. 20 won't be an issue.

Down 2 lbs now.. over the 100 mark!  Woo Hoo!

Well my scale hasn't budged in ages but I am down another size so I'm encouraged by that.
I honestly think this heat has something to do with it.  Everyone I talk to who has had a procedure around the same time as me is in the same boat.  I wonder if it has to do with ours bodies trying to hold on to moisture or something?  I don't know, but it's not Budging for me or some others I know...
I would be totally upset if I wasn't able to get into 14's today, that offsets the scale thing for me.  :)

Well I haven't  posted on here in ages.. I have been doing well losing weight and so excited about my new sizes and clothes,etc..
Then I hit a bump in the road......
At one point 6 years ago I had cancer of the Thyroid and had it removed. 
We have just discovered it has reappeared/reoccured in a near by  lymph node in my neck.
So in Sept. I get to go under the knife once again.  This is the scariest part for me because I bled internally after my RNY and almost died, that has me a bit freaked to go for another surgery so soon..
So I will keep ya'll posted as my surgery date for the removal of this new found cancer and then I will have to have more radioactive iodine treatments afterwards. 
Another mile stone to get past in my life...

I cannot believe it, I'm 1/2 way to goal.  Oh somebody pinch me!!!!
This is the best decision I've ever made!  Thank you WLS!  

*RECALL*I am sitting here typing this in size 16 shorts!  They are Lane Bryant mind you but they are still 16's!  

I thought these shorts were 16's, they are actually 18's.  But that's ok.  I have another pair of 16's froma while ago and they look a lot a like, when I went to put them on I was freaking cause I couldn't quite get them, then I realized my mistake....OOPS!

My scale has weighed me 5 lbs lighter than I am...sigh...
So I had to add those 5 lbs back on and that hurt!  
Well I will fix my scale to match the others that agree I'm 5 lbs heavier.
But hey, I'm still melting and all my co workers are making fun of my clothes and told me they'd draw the line if I pinned my "drawyers"...I said well you would never know if I did right?  LOL

Ok, today I love my scale, it's my best friend!  Got up this morning and stepped on and wooo hoooo, down to 232!  I was so excited I was doing the happy dance!

Going to my other doctor today so I'm sort of anxious to see what their scale reads, I mean my Surgeon's scale is off by 7 lbs (everyone agrees, except the actual dr. office) so I'm going to see at this appt.  I may have to adjust mine if it's off but we shall see.
