Renee I hear you. I have a 9 year old, and there is so much that I can't do with her. It breaks her heart as well as mine. Fortunately I have friends and relatives who take her to fairs, stuff like that. I have my consultation next Wednesday. I imagine I will have surgery in November, however I wish it was tomorrow. I was unemployed for 5 1/2 months just went back to work with a former employer. It is hard just to walk 100 yards from my car to the office. I really get winded. I have 2 bad knees, and probably will have to have new joints put in in the next few years. Renee you are not alone, and feel free to e-mail me. Take Care and Love Mari Seattle

Hi Renee, I just read your post on the message board and i can truly re;ate to u. I am a 33 year ols hispanic female who is 5'9 & weighing about 395(last time i had the nerve to be weighed 2 months ago). I'm having the rny gastric bypass on Sept.27th and i wish i had done it 2 years ago when i 1st had the inkling to do it and when i was at least 125 lbs lighter. Anyway.....THERE IS HOPE AND A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!! If i can do it so can u. I will pray for u and ask god to strengthen and help u. Take care =)

RENEE~~It is not easy to live life sometimes And face the world with a smile when you're crying inside It takes a lot of courage to reach down inside yourself Hold on to that strength that's still there And know that tomorrow is a new day with new possibilities But if you can hold on long enough to see this through You'll come out a new person-stronger, With more understanding and with a new pride in yourself From knowing you made it.
