Hi Shirley, I have a May 13th surgery date. I just read your profile and notes, and I am so excited for you. My surgeon is in the same office as Dr Otteman, he is Dr Dickinson. I agree: that office is so supportive and warm. Dr. Otteman is wonderful, my best friend had her surgery 2 years ago and she insisted that I go to his practice when I made the decision to seek help for my opbesity. I also have arthritis, this past year I have suffered awful. I'm faced with hip replacemtn if I dont get my weight off. I live in Ft Collins, I have a date for surgery, and am waiting for insurance approval. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Congrats.. Kim

Shirley - thanks so much for your support. I am doing so much better now and am happy to be on the losing side for once. I wish you success on your trip, age should have nothing to do with this surgery because it can only extend your life and make it worth living. LaWanna
