Heavenly Father, today I say goodbye to a sister in Christ. I pray that Diane's final journey is a wonderfully painless one. I pray for her family and the courage her daughter has had to let go. Dear Lord, in Jesus' name we ask that, if it be Your will, You will take Diane's loving and tired spirit into Your Heaven quickly so that her and her loved one's pain can be eased and they can be content knowing that she is seated with You in Eternal Light. Only You Lord, Our Creator, know the true strength Diane has shown; and only You are capable of restoring her body and spirit with the will to fight. We ask Lord that if this is the start of a miracle You will quickly show Your grace in Diane's mind, body and spirit. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body) I also pray Lord that you will guide the hands and minds of the healthcare workers to help do Your will for Diane. Whenever You do call Diane home Lord, I pray that You will be with all those dear to her so they may feel embraced and comforted by Your love and the faith of knowing she is with them always. (Hebrews 11:36,39-40 Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.) We ask this of You in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
