Dan,
<p>
I hope you will not be offended, but I URGENTLY WARN you, back off on the foods!! At 2 weeks out from RNY surgery, you should still be on CLEAR LIQUIDS ONLY! And then, at no more than one oz per 10 minutes. Speaking as one who is 3 weeks out from surgery, and 10 days on IV nutrition to allow a tiny leak to heal, you are risking the health of your pouch and stoma. All I did was drink clear liquids at a rate of about 4-6 oz in a half-hour and I am now unable to take ANYTHING AT ALL by mouth (not even ice chips) and have a central line thru which they infuse IV nutrition and hydration for 12 hrs a day. Hopefully my leak will be healed by the end of the week and I can go BACK on clear liquids. I'm trying to spare you MAJOR grief. If they've already pulled your drains, a leak could involve a new surgery! Please remember that 1: your stomach is about the size of an egg -- put more than that in it at a time, and it'll risk a leak. 2: You have to treat your pouch like an infant's stomach. If you wouldn't feed something to a 2-week-old infant, don't put it in your pouch! After about 5-6 weeks you can start introducing very soft foods, but don't rush it - and FORGET about red meets for at least a few months, and then with LOTS of chewing.

Your surgeon should have given you clear guidelines for post op eating, but if he didn't PLEASE see a nutritionist with experience with WLS Post Ops.
