^j^ ok Who said I am not keeping up with posting..?????When I left for the hospital, yesterday, I thought I would be coming home, but I ended up staying overnight in Cindi's room helping her, since the nurses were busy...I didn't get home until after 2pm this afternoon...She had rather a rough night.. She was running a fever and her chest became conjested. So I am not only her Angel, but her Mom and I pamper her as much as possible....I am recovering from a back injury so this wore me out...But when you love your daughter, the ole back takes a back seat to her needs...So be patient with me as I am really busy with this sweet woman....Her fever broke about 2am and her sheets and gown we soaked.... No nurse in sight, so I changed her bedding and gown and rubbed her feet with the sweet smelling lotion her sister, Natalie got for her....OH how she loved that....I got her up several times to walk or just set in a chair to help get things moving..Buttttt When her doctor came to see her tonight, he said that she would not be able to come home tomorrow, Tues 4-3 as hoped.. She had her first meal this morning... buttt was unable to keep anything down...I think tomorrow will be a better day.. She is good at getting up, but it's a slow process. She received the E-mails from some of you and it made her very happy. She has lots of flowers in her room and it smells sooooo sweet... She listens to her Relaxation tape called Sound Healing, by Stephen Halpern and it really soothes.. I have had a couple of surgeries myself and I can see that she is making good process. I think what we have learned is, that some of the nurses need a little training in the recovery process of this kind of surgery...So if you haven't had your surgery yet, be very prepared.. Very, very, prepared....do lots of research because some of the staff at her hospital just don't understand... Family support is to vital.... Well I took lots of Video footage of her process, and today I got a few beautiful smiles on Cindi's sweet face. She is a real trooper as I have stated before....Well until tomorrow, God Bless and Thank you for all your concern and support. She is a lucky lady to have so many friends.... Susie Angel (aka) MOM... xoxoxoxoxo

QUAZAY ANGEL - While visiting another of my Angelites, I popped up to ICU to see Miss Cindi. She looked great! Her sweetie was there with her and she was looking forward to going to a regular room, eating ice chips and being cool! Welcome to the other side! The Luckiest Angel!

^j^ Good morning everyone...I thought I would write a little more before I left for the hospital. I Just called there and they said Cindi was going to be going to her own room on the surgerical floor...She's doing very well so she is being transfered to the 5th floor. It will be good to see her without sooooo many tubes...So I am off to go give her lots of TLC and kisses and I will let you know more when I get home... Now she can have flowers and cards around her... and she loves flowers.... God Bless, Susie Angel

^j^ Hi, this is Cindi's angel keeping you posted. She had a good night, slept almost all the way thru...Her pain level had increased so they increased her pain meds. That's a big help. She got her first Bed Bath today, given by her sister, Natalie and myself. She really enjoyed that..A bath always makes one feel better.. She also got up Twice to set in a chair and they gave her a new bed, one that is easier on the fanny. She got her foot rub as promised and it brought a smile to her sweet face. She also was treated with ice-chips which is like a major high when you have that NG tube down your nose...But she is doing very well. A slight fever, but they are monitorin her very closely...Her nurses are great. They have lots of compassion and she is getting excellent care.. After we put her back in bed, she was out like a light... I will be back there Sunday morn to rub those cute little feet again.... She wants to Thank all of you for the E-Mail and kind words of encouragment..God Bless, Susie, Cindi's mother, friend and angel...xoxoxo here is the E-mail address at the hospital if you would like to send her one... she is in room 416 in ICU http://www.rchc.org/PatEmail.asp I do believe she will be there until Sunday night or Monday, then she will be moved to a semi private room.. But the E-mail address remains the same. xo

^j^ Hi Everyone, I am Cindi's Mom, Susie and I am also her angel... We got to the hospital just about 1pm and by the time they put her in one of those cute hospital gowns and very colorful hats, it was just about time for the big moment...It took a bit to start an IV. All her veins did the hiding act, but once started they gave her something to relax and in no time it was 2:45pm and time for surgery...About 5:10pm, Dr.Terry Sanderfer cam out and said Cindi was out of surgery and in the recovery room...He said she did so well that he expects a speedy recovery...He said they didn't have to take the gall bladder, and because it all looked so good, he didn't remove her belly button...That was a request of hers. She had told him if he had to do a more extensive procedure to remove the little guy... but...Get out the Q-tips Cin, you still have it. :) Her husband, Dirk, and I got to go up to ICU and see her around 7pm.. She was awake and moaning abit, but she is a real trooper. She sends her love to all and says she will be up in no time... well, maybe not in those exact words..She looks good, but as a mom it was hard to see her hurt. But I know this is a good thing..I kept her mouth moist with damp sponge suckers and let me remind those who haven't had their surgery yet, remember the lip balm... It is a must with the NG tube.. Keeps those pretty lips moist..Tomorrow she is getting some much needed foot rubs from her sister, Natalie and myself...You can E-Mail her Riverside Community Hospital c/o ICU room 416... They say she will be there until Sunday.. Thank all of you for your kind words and E-mail so far... and as soon as I get home Saturday, I will update... God Bless xo

Dear Cindi, I am a new member of this site(just signed up yesterday!) and I am hoping to have this surgery. I began reading your story and I have to tell you it takes a special person to be able to make a stranger want to become a friend through posts on a computer:)! I wasn't even paying attention to the date of your surgery until I had almost finished your entries. It's today! As a matter of fact it is 3:45 p.m. here in TN, so your journey is about to begin. I am sending a prayer to you for God to hold you in his protective arms and I wish you all the best.I hope to join you someday and begin my own journey.
