I prayed for you today, gave thanks for your life, wished you the best, asked the heavens to bless you with good health and happiness. I sent you good thoughts, surrounded you with hope and faith and love. I asked your guardian angels to protect you and keep you safe from any harm and to blanket you with joy and contentment and peace and prosperity. I prayed for you today. I asked that you be guided with the wisdom to make choices to enhance your life and the awareness to make changes that are in your best interest. I wished for you a storehouse of opportunities, the ability to meet your goals, and the joy of your own approval and acceptance. I wished for you your heart's desire, every need met, every prayer answered, and every dream come true. I prayed for you today. I asked that you be prepared for whatever life hands you or whatever you're going through. I asked that your spirit be strong and lead you and guide you each step of the way down every path you take. I asked the universe to confirm for you that you're someone very special. I asked the earth to be good to you, and I asked God to show you His perfect way. I prayed for you today. ~by: Donna Fargo

Cindi....I tried to call you at the hospital, but you had gone home (yeah for you). I am soo sorry that you are having PAIN, but BOY can I relate. I agree that NOTHING or NOBODY prepared me for what I was in for, as far as pain goes. The good news is...IT GETS BETTER!! Hang in there sweetie....it will all be worth it. I am 8.5 weeks out, 50 lbs thinner, and feeling prety darned good...but it took a while. Be patient with yourself and ASK for help when you need it. Please contact me if I can do anything to help ok? Your WLS sister, Rhonda :o)

Hi, it's me Cin... I made it " To the Other Side!!!! " I can hardly believe it. OH MY GOD IS THIS EVER PAINFUL!!!!!!! I did a lot of studying the whole ordeal, but NO ONE can EVER prepare you for the pain that you fell after, HOLY COW!!! I am at the stage now that I am saying "What the F#@k was I thinking (sorry). I held tough until they had me get on the gurney to be wheeled into pre-op. That was when I lost it totally. Of course Mom got it all on video tape (oh yippee). Then I lost it again when they were trying (and I mean trying) to start my IV. I guess I forgot my veins at home. I listened to my relaxation CD as much as possible until they wheeled me into the OR. But after that, I really didn't use but once. Between the naps, the morphine, the walks, the gas, the taking of vital signs, bed baths, ect, I guess I didn't need it (well I needed it, but kinda forgot to use it). My 1st 2 nights in ICU were ok (I think), but once in a regular room (which was private). I was luck that each night my Mom or Hubby would stay with me, but on Mon night Mom was exhausted and hubby couldn't come and I ended up having the night from HELL and I thought I was dying for sure. My Dr had taken me off the morphine pump I could give myself every 10 min and switched me to liquid Viccodin every 4 hrs (and I don't do liquid!!), he ordered a laxative cuz I had no bowel sounds and couldn't pass gas. I had a bitchy nurse who would give me meds and when I woke at 2 am I had no idea where I was and I thought I was dying. I called my Angel at that hour for help. Not to mention that the day before my hubby did battle with the nursing secretary (she claims I denied a bath twice, which I would NEVER do! He was so upset ans then to have the night from hell happen right after was just nightmare. They (the hospital) sent me flowers & gave hubby a free meal. The last couple days have been tough but better than Mon & Tues. morn. I AM GLAD TO BE HOME!!! I am sorry, but I am wiped out now. I will write more as I feel up to it. Thank you to all of you for posting I fell special. I love you all! ox Cin

^j^ Hi everyone!!!! Cindi is still in the hospital..She has had a hard time with the liquid pain medication. And of course the ole GAS that rumbles around but doesn't always want to make it's exit...She had a Harris flush last night. For those of you who don't know what that is it's a procedure, much like an enema, where they insert a tube in the rectum and run warm soapy water in and out..the tube reaches pockets of gas and then helps to release the pressure... She did GREAT!!!!! WE got her up and walked her and that helped even more...WALKING is VERY VERY important to your comfort while in the hospital...So if you have not had your surgery yet, make sure you walk ALOT!! and while in bed, switch sides you are laying on to motivate that gas along. One other thing, make sure before you have your sugery, that you are well informed and know the protocal well.. Have all your food organized and educate your family and those who help you...Even in the hospital, don't rely on the nurses to know everything you need, becuz they don't. At least not yet. As this surgery becomes more popular, we are finding out just how much people don't realize about what they are about to experience. Cindi was told she was the first they have seen that was that aware and organized....We have been documenting, thru video taping, her experience. Her support group has been a vital part of her awareness. She studied well and it has served her well...When I got there last night she was feeling better than the day before...Sugarfree worked well for her... Her room was a garden of flowers and cards, a real site to behold...She is a very Special woman... Not just becuz she is my daughter, altho I must admit, I think she is wonderful, but she cares about others...She's a delight to know and when she is your friend, she is there all the way.... God Bless, and thanks to all of you for you well wishes.. xoxoxo Susie Angel aka MOM!

^j^ Hi everyone! I am on my way to spend the evening with Cindi.. As Pat said, she was a little upset when they took her PCA away, and called me in the middle of the night....I gave her a mom's pep talk and the empathy she needed. I too know how hard that is....She is following her protacol to a Tee and realizes the importance of listening to her body...No dumping for her. She is on liquid Vicodin, but, at this time, it tends to upset her stomach... She is having a bought with gas and is doing her walking.. That alone is the #1 help for that ole gas...I will let you know, when I get home, how her night went. She is anxious to go home, hoping tomorrow is the day...Hang in there Cin, you are doing soooo good...xo
