Bob, Thank you so much for being a friend while Jen and I were going through our surgery. It was so nice to meet people on this website like you who have been through it and are willing to spend the time and effort to make someone else's transition maybe a little easier,less scary. Thank you and congrads for reaching the 100 pound mark, WOW ! I can't wait to see myself a 100 pounds lighter. You stay well and good luck to you and Jen. I will keep in touch as I travel along this path with jen and see how we compare, Jen let me hear from you girl. Merry Christmas to you both.

Bob, just read your message that you've achieved a loss of 100 lbs. That is almost unbelievable. What fantastic stats. Glad to hear you and Jen are both doing well. Congrats!

I thought today would bbe a good time to update this page. As of this AM I have lost 100 pounds since surgery! Thats in less than 5 months time. Jen had surgery monday December 10th and is doing well, lost 8 pounds in 4 days. For pre ops reading this, get a move on and get surgery behind you, because once its over your life really begins.

Bob, I would truly appreciate you being my angel on Dec. 10, since your wife and I will be there together that day. Dr.Schauers got his work cut out for him. lolol Here we go Jen, hold on for a hopefully easy ride. Whee!!!!

Hello Bob, this is Michele formerly of Pittsburgh. I am waiting for my surgery date, here in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Thanks for sharing your summer of bariatric heaven. I know it won't be totally easy but I know it's definitly better to be lean & healthy. You have inspired me to post of message board of my own to share with anyone who is interested. Good Luck & continued success. My sister-in-law is a nurse at Shadyside Hospital & I understand they are opening a center for bariatric surgery too. God Bless. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Bob. Just got done reading you profile. Congratulations on a successful cross over!! I had surgery on March 12th. I hope you continue to do well. This surgery has "cured" me of my diabetes. I was on 7 diabetic pills prior to surgery. My doc did a reading last month and it was 96!!!

hi bob, i am really glad to hear all is going well for you. i also had mine done on july 26 at shadyside hospital. i go to the doctors for the first time since my surgery on tuesday. you take care of yourself
