Bob, I tend to agree with you on this one.. when we sold our home two years ago we were told to do what we could, new paint, appliances if neccessary, etc. to spruce it up. The minimal investment brings a quicker sale and better sale price. Good Luck! Tami

Just a thought but I remember when my mom bought our house when I was little and we got an "allowance". This allowed us to get new carpet, the floor in the bathrooms, kithcen and foyers redone, and the inside and outside of the house repainted. They choose to do it this way because all of these things had to be done to sell the house but y change things when the person buying the house may want something else.

Just my humble opinion Bob and Jen, I say install the appliances. You can regulate the cost better and it will look nicer for resale (hopefully make it quicker too). My best friend sells real estate and I've always heard that it's better to replace it than to give an allowance because it something that people can see right away. Also, you would have to give a much bigger allowance because maybe their tastes are more expensive than yours. I say buy the cheapest stuff you can find in a neutral color and throw it in. It will save you a huge headache in the long run (not that squables aren't a headache too! LOL). Good luck and God Bless!

To the family of Diane- I understand this is a tough time for you and I do know what you're going through. I only wish I could say it stops hurting. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family and friends of Diane Walters I am so sorry for your loss. She was reaching for a dream to have a better life, she was a very brave lady to do so. Words can't not take the pain away you are feeling at this time, but time will help with it. And just remember as long as you remember someone in your heart they are not far from you and can make you feel all warm inside when you need it. Great Love and support to you at this time.

Hi, Bob. I know that it can be very depressing when you find yourself trying to cope with a friend that is having a very trialing time, but you are a great angel to Wanda, because you keep her in your prayers everyday. As you say prayers for Wanda, also ask the Lord to help you cope as well. The power of prayer is amazing, and both Wanda and yourself will benefit from it. May the Lord keep you in His loving arms. Your Amos Friend, Diana
