I seem to be having trouble communicating with my surgeon's office regarding my insuracne approval. I would love to hear from anyone who has Guardian PHCS insurance as to whether you were required to do the 6 mo doctor supervised diet. I wish you all Happy Holidays.

Well, I called Dr. Naaman's office last Friday as instructed and I was told that my info was being sent to the insurance for preapproval on that day. I was told I could check back on Weds. I have been having some problems at home lately which are not resolving. I am going to see my pschy tomorrow to see about changing my antidepressants. If thing don't get better soon, I will be looking to rent a room somewhere. I would leave Houston, if my surgery wasn't so close but i don't want to start all over somewhere else. Please pray for me as I will for all of you. The site has been so much help to me and really appreciate you all.

Carolyn, Totally know how you feel! When I first started my WLS journey the first surgeon's office I went through a program with took TWO MONTHS to submit! I couldn't believe how slow they were! But in the end, it was a blessing in disguise. Hope they are true to their word, for you! Blessings, dina

I am so disappointed. I thought my paperwork had been sent for insurance approval a week ago, but I called about it today and it hasn't even gone out yet, they said to call back Friday. I don't know why it's taking so long, I hope it's because I gave them so much information and they want to be sure to give the insurance as much as possible so that I will be approved the first time. I just need to learn patience. I did so hope to have a surgery date this year, but it's not looking likely now.
