I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Hurray! I spoke to Bernie at Dr. Naaman's office this morning and she has authorized me to be put on the surgery schedule for January. She said Amanda should be calling me tomorrow with a date. I do have to give them a deposit, but surprisingly it is just the amount I have so I can do it. I was supposed to be for a down payment of a home but my surgery is more important. I'm so excited and so thankful to God that this is finally happening. And the timing is amazing. Tomorrow is tha one year anniversary of the date we took my dad to the hospital last year and I was feeling really down about it. Dad died on Jan 4 this year and I was dreading these next few weeks and the holidays. Somehow I think he had something to do with this happening right now and this is God's way of helping me through this difficult time. Wouldn't it be freaky if my surgery was scheduled for Jan 4. Anyway thanks Bernie and all my AMOS friends for you support. Happy Holidays and God Bless you all.

Well, I'm feeling a little better today. I spoke with Bernie at Dr. Naaman's office. She is such a nice lady. She explained to me that my request letter was sent to Guardian on Dec 8, however, I called Guardian and they don't have a record of it yet and they are working on mail received on the 10th. Guardian also advised that it should be sent directly to PHCS. I called Bernie back and she said she would send another copy to PHCS. I hope things will go smoothly now, but I was advised to expect it to take about a month. I am still hopeful that I will be approved without the 6 mo doctor supervised diet, but I am so anxious to get this done. I thank everyone at Dr. Naaman's office, they are so pleasant and helpful and even though they are very busy, they are always nice to me. I also thank everyone on this website for being so supporting. Merry Christmas to all.
