Janine, Congrats on your upcoming surgery! I too am having surgery on June 10th! Unfortunately I can not give you info on before and after, I would be happy to keep in touch with you and share what I am going through now. Best wishes to you! Surgery is only 1 month away!!! Allie

Janine - I am a fairly new post-op (Open RNY on 3/28/02). I am 5'7", and I weighed 277 the day of my surgery. At 6 weeks out (plus one day!) I have lost 40 pounds, and many inches! I feel great - haven't had much problem with foods...I know what doesn't agree with me and I stay away from it. I have discovered that sugar does not make me dump, so I've just decided that I won't go near it. Good luck with your upcoming surgery, and I'm sure you'll get lots of responses - the people on this site are a great group! Lisa
