2 Weeks and a wake up!!!!! One week until my Pre-Op appointment with my surgeon. I can't wait til I find out exactly what type of surgery I will be having, Lap or Open. Found out that my blood has too much iron and I have a fatty liver. Nothing to prevent my surgery but I need liver biopsy during WLS. I got my CPAP last night and used it for the first time. It will take some getting used to. I have a pulled muscle in my right shoulder which made it hard to sleep on my back. An extra pillow and two Advils helped. Only two and a half weeks til my surgery (July 26). I am getting more anxious all the time. Saw the Gastroenterologist yesterday. One hour to verify my insurance and then they could not get my lab results from the Surgeon's office until after I left. I received a message that they did finally receive the lab results and to call them this morning. He said that the elevated liver enzymes should be due a fatty liver and the operation is the treatment for it but he had to see the blood work results to be absolutely sure. Will keep you posted. Lawrence, Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! You will be in my prayers.
