Hi everyone. This is Jan's daughter, DeAnne. It is 5:00 p.m., CDT, and I just returned from the hospital about 45 minutes ago. Mom went into surgery at 8:30 a.m. and was in for about 5 hours. Dr. Mitchell said it took much longer than anticipated because of scar tissue and obstacles resulting from the previous WL surgeries. We finally (!) got to see her at about 3:00 this afternoon. She was to be moved from recovery to ICU at 4:00, where she will remain for the night (just precautionary--I'm sure you all know that). She's in quite a bit of pain right now because of the extent of repair (for lack of a better word), so please keep her in your prayers.

Jan, I am saying a pray for you asking that the Lord surround you with angels to protect and heal you. I wish you a quick and uneventful surgery and recovery. God Bless You!!!

Good morning, Jan. I had hoped to send this to you left for the hospital but I guess you'll have to read it when you are back home. Tossed and turned all night, thinking about you and praying for you. Can't believe this day has finally arrived! I know things will be fine and I look forward to talking to you on Sunday or Monday. Bye!

Jan-Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. I hope everything goes smoothly and you have a quick and painfree recovery. Keep us posted on your progress and you always have someone willing to listen if you get down in the next couple of weeks.

Good Evening Everyone: This will be my last post until I return home. Surgery is 10 hours away. I am to be at the hospital at 6:00 a.m. for 7:30 surgery. Today has been a very trying day for me. Trying to clean house and get everything ready and am so emotional! I still am not scared, but cried most of the day. Just so many things racing through my mind and so much to do. I still know in my heart all will be fine. God will not leave me now! Thank you again to every one of you who posted to my page. It overwhelms me that people we don't even know care so much about us. I will never forget what you all have done for me. Keep those prayers going Heavenward. See you lighter! Jan

Jan, thank you so much for taking the time to post and pray for me. I also wish you well on your surgery tomorrow. (we share the same surgery date) I know that you must be getting pretty nervous, I know that I am. I will pray that you have a speedy recovery.
