Hi there, I just wanted to say I had the same thing happen to me. I gained weight. It's due to the fluids they put in you, medications, etc. Don't worry, it does all drop off. I'm now almost 5 months out and down 78#. I teased the doctor though saying, see I told you, "my body just gains weight no matter what". So hang in there. I too was in the hospital for 6 days, but it's all very worth it.

Hello AMOS Family:
Well, I just got home from the hospital a couple of hours ago. Can't say I'm a loser yet nor can I say I'd do it again in a minute! In 3 days I gained 32.5 pounds. I told Dr. Mitchell he did my surgery backwards. LOL! I'd like to thank my daughter for posting to update my condition. Spent 6 days in hospital. Hated every minute of it and have nothing good to say about Saint Francis. However, I won't post that yet, will give my memory time to erase some of the bad stuff. If I did it now I'd probably be charged with slander!
Thank you beautiful angel Ellen H. for all your calls, the flowers were beautiful and I am looking forward to continuing our friendship. You have been a real blessing to me throughout this ordeal.
Must get off of computer. I have had to correct every word so far. My mind and body are unable to compute at this time. More later!
I'm so thankful to God that I am alive. Jan

Good afternoon, AMOS Family. I spoke with Jan this morning. She is doing better every day and will hopefully get to go home on Wednesday. Please post some good thoughts and well wishes to her surgery page so she'll have some good stuff to read as she begins her recovery! Thanks.
