We are put here on earth to complete God's work, Pete did just that, he touched so many lifes, and having the WLS and losing the weight, he was able to have time to enjoy life. God has taken Pete to heaven as his reward, he is now a angel, and is still touching so many lifes everyday. He will be greatly missed, and I am so happy that he touched my life. Thank you Pete, rest in peace.

Im am so saddened to hear of Pete's passing, I have never gotten to talk with him or meeting him but he was an inspiration to myself. Linda's wonderful tribute to Pete brought tears to my eyes, I know we will all miss him dearly and my prayers and condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

I was devastated to read of Pete's passing. What a great guy to share his life story with all. God sure has one great angel with him today! Many hugs to his family! Jamie

My deepest condolences to Peter's family and friends. I did not have the honor of every meeting him but he has been an inspiration for many many people including myself. I know that he will be taking over his supreme angel duties now and what better person to watch over all of us from God's Lap..........

In one way or another, I don't think there's anyone in the WLS community that Big Pete didn't impact. Very quick with email and always encouraging!! I am so happy that he had such wonderful years in the end! I hope that his book will get published, what a resource and an inspiration. My prayers are with his friends and family, I am envious that you had the privlege of a close relationship with someone many of us consider a hero!

I am so saddened by Pete's passing.I had the chance to talk with him just before my WLS.He was so nice and very helpfull answered all my questions.Heaven is getting an Angel thats for sure.Thank you Pete for sharing your life with all of us.May you rest in peace.

Incredible sadness came over me in reading Linda's post about Pete, her friend - our friend. I remember seeing him on Oprah and thinking what a remarkable man he was. I had read his website before that, and it was a joy to see him on the show as well. It is ironic in my view, that Pete's AMOS profile page states that Pete still doesn't have an Angel. Peter was an angel on Earth, now he is one in Heaven. My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. - Anna

Angels are welcoming another one home- his wings are polished from the hours of love he gave to others suffering from morbid obesity---he is free to fly- to only experience the joys of life. Too life......Amanda

My heart goes out to Peter's family and Linda!! May God give you the strength to deal with such a loss. Peter will be missed by us all!!
