Debbie, thanks so much for your encouraging words on my surgery page. I appreciate it sincerely. As I read your page, I am praying your insurance nightmare will be over soon and you will be joining us in WLS. Please don't give up. There are too many folks here who eventually WON their insurance approval by being persistent. It also will hopefully help others after you with the process. Good luck and don't give up! :) HUGS

Debbie, Thank you so much for your good wishes. I am so sorry to hear about your insurance nightmare. I have been very lucky. I was approved on my first try and was sceduled for surgery right away. Boy is everything moving fast. I am getting nervous. Well i will keep watching to see when you finally get your approval. DONT GIVE UP!! i will keep you in my prayers. Dena

Hi Debbie, Thank you for posting encouragement on my surgery page. I just started my 5 day clear liquid pre op diet. Yikes! What would I give for a burger right now! I really wanted to encourage you to keep after your ins company, don't give up. I saw my first surgeon in August of 02 and am just now having my surgery. Persistance pays off. My policy with Cigna said the surgery was excluded except in cases of medical necessity. It took many phone calls and letters but they finally relented and approved me. Good luck and God bless you. Thank you so much for your prayers. The best way to deal with the insurance companies are to be very persistent, don't let go and don't give in.
