Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Debbie, am so excited for you. You are a very special person, with patience of a saint. I know you will do well during and after surgery. My prayers are with you. Judi

Debbie, Thanks again for your kind words. I read your story and I actually got angry at all the injustice you have received. I pray that all will work out well for you soon. I hope you get your birthday present here, stateside. But, whatevery works best for you is the key. I'm glad my surgery is done so I can tell you. It's a great feeling! My health hasn't been great prior to surgery but nothing like yours. I'll try to keep in touch over the next feww weeks to let you know what to expect. I'm 53 going on 54 but I'm feeling younger already. God Bless!

Thanks so much for your kind words. I read your page and I could just feel your frustration with each denial for your surgery. That letter from your PCP was just awful. That woman has no tact in dealing with her patients.....can you imagine how she treats other people that cross her path each day. Yes she does need to go into research but NOT with animals. Maybe she could go to work for United Health Care. LOL good luck. Keep us posted. I think you will have good luck with BC/BS and most of your appt. have already been done.
