Hi Friends,
Kelly made it home with only one stop required to shift her into a more comfortable position. Pain meds worked as they were supposed to and without nausea. We tried to convince her to stay downstairs for the first couple of days, but she was determined to make it upstairs and be in her room. Damn I wish I had such great determination! For the most part she is doing very well. She's been up a few times walking. Even for PS you need to worry about clots so it's good to be up and walking. She was told to start back lightly eating, soups and juices. Well Kelly was not satisfied with that so she ate a more "regular meal", wanted fruit, wanted popsicles, all very good signs.
Her daughter Jessica is really coming through big time, helping with "Mom's needs". What an absolute sweetheart she is. Kelly is being exceedingly well taken care of.
She had some minor bleeding issues, but the doctor was consulted and it was determined that her seating position was causing it, and as soon as she was repositioned, it stopped.
Kelly sends her regards to everyone, and promises to be on line, as soon as she can bear to sit for a bit and get on line. Seeing how determined she was and is today, that can be at any moment.
This will be my last update for tonight. I will clue you in when I have more news, tomorrow. Your continued prayers , positive thoughts emails and posts to her have really kept her spirits high, and she does so much appreciate everybody, so keep your emails and posts coming to her.
It's been a long day, but a very satisfying day! Thanks to Mike, John and Jessica, Kelly is in the very best of care.
Hugs to you all!
Len
