"My first impression of Dr Harold was that he is a very caring man and truly wants to help those of us who are obese. However, after meeting him at a support group (and him telling me to call his office and make an appointment) I actually had trouble getting past the office staff. They told me he wasn't taking any more patients with my insurance, etc. Basically they didn't want me to see him. But after begging them to just let me have one appointment, they realized he really did ask me to come in to see him. After that they were very nice to me. He holds two support groups each month, one in St Petersburg and one in Orlando where he goes into detail about the surgery so you know exactly what to expect. He is always available if you have questions. He greatly emphasizes after care, including therapy with a counselor. Both his surgical competence and his bedside manner are great, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. "
