Hey Everyone! I am 2 1/2 weeks post-op and I can't believe how great I feel, except for when I eat I can't tell I had surgery! I am having to work on eating SLOW and what I can/cannot tolerate. I don't get sick if I eat something,I get a terrible pain for about 5 minutes(which seems like 5 hours) It usually hurts so bad it kills my appetite. I have had a impressive example of dumping syndrome---it is a awful feeling! Yuk! Those are really the only negatives so far.I feel so much better than pre-op, I have lost 15 lbs and that has already made me feel better. I start Monday with a personal trainer-3 days per week, I hope it helps my energy level, I feel great in the mornings and by lunch time I am exhausted. I am already so glad I had WLS, and I am so thankful for this web site...it has been my support system!! Thanks for all of the kind letters, they really help! Tami

My prayers are with you, and hoping for a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! Welcome to the other side.

Hi Tami, how are you? I just read your message on the board and wanted to let you know that you're not alone experiencing all these emotions. I will be having my surgery on Aug. 13th and I go from being totally wonderfully happy to so sad and emotional. I have read on here about so many women who have experienced the same thing as we are and so I take comfort in knowing that this is normal and I will come out of this feeling better about myself for having gone through with this. I know that God will take care of me and I have faith that He will bring me through this. Even though I have faith I still have all kinds of emotions and worries going on. If you need someone to share your anxieties with feel free to email me. I wish you all the luck in the world on your upcoming surgery. Hang in there. Jackie Gilley
