Been checking out all these "talented" doctors and just don't know what to do. I have 1 friend who has had the "sleeve" and one the "lap band"....both say they are great.
I have always had a weight problem and my concern with the LB is that if it gets adjusted, then there is a good chance I will eat more.....but then it will always be in me unless I pay to have it removed!!!
My husband is so scared for me to do the sleeve because he said he knows I will eat later and stretch it out and then all that $$$ paid out and I still didn't learn how to eat. He said with the LB that I would stretch it out too but to get it removed would mean more $$$. So, as you can see I don't think I have a lot of support. Of course he said he will support what ever I do, but if ANYTHING should happen I would NEVER hear the end of it!!!
But....one doctor is $5,000 cheaper than the other but his is an out patient....the other doctor is $5,000 more but you stay over night and he and the hospital guarantee medical coverage for 30 days (I will be paying out of pocket). My husband said that it would be nice to save the $5,000 but then if we didn't pay the extra and something happend then we would be bankrupt with the hospital charges.
So, that is where I am.....trying to decide what to do with little to no support! So HELP!!!!!
