Hi Tabetha, I was just looking at some of the profiles on obesityhelp.com your profile connected with me. First, CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. You truly look WONDERFUL!!!!! Well I had the Lap RNY on 3/27/03 and the day of surgery I weighed in at 341lbs. Well today I'm almost 9 months post-op and have only lost about 65lbs since surgery. I exercise about 4 days a week, I drink over 60oz of water, I get in about 90gms of protein and I take my vitamins every day. I do all of the above but I'm still a very very very slow loser. Because of your success, I just want to know if you can share with me what is a typical day like for you? Can you share with me what you do for exercise and protein or just give me soem tips for success. Well thanks for listening to me. Many Blessings & Happy Holidays, Marilyn Lexington, KY 341/276/175

Tabetha, I am scheduled for RNY on June 16th and just spent my lunch break reading thru your journal entries here. THANK you so much for sharing so openly your feelings, thoughts and experiences through this whole process. It means a lot to me and I really enjoyed your wonderful sense of humor and the way you express yourself too! Doris

Tabetha, Thank you for that post on the Q&A board. I am tired of hearing how the VBG has such a high failure rate. If I mess it up then it is me. Plus, I like the idea of there being no "window of opportunity" with the VBG. I may be losing slowly, but I feel that I can be a success. There were so many aspects of RNY that turned me off, so I am prepared to do what I need to! lol Take care!! By the way, you had your VBG on my birthday!

Hi Tabetha. I'm a bit four months out from my Lap-rny surgery on 8/20/02. Concerning your question on the anwser/question board---I buy a chicken/cesar salad shaker from McDonalds---I eat the whole salad----I feel very full and very satisfied after consuming it. I don't think it's very much. I would remind your husband that you're an adult---and based on your new 'tool' you're best able to decide what you can and cannot eat. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Lori Ann

I thought to drop by and wish you well, to send wishes of love and care, To let you know that you are loved and that you are watched by the Lord above. So do not fret as you are wheeled in and slowly things become a little dim, you will wake to a new and wonderful day and forever have a new birthday! Lots of love, Tina Cantrell
