Howdy all!  Short version of my story is that I grew up in the festive (yes I said festive) city o' Jacksonville, FL.  When I was younger I was a non fattie, however sometime around fourth grade the pounds came.  I danced for fifteen years, hence I was able to keep my weight down.  Though college brought on the freshman fifteen, and it went from there.  I had had friends who've had surgery however figured I was able to handle my own.  It wasn't until an old friend popped up at my work and I saw that she'd had surgery that I knew it was time. So I went through my festive "multidisciplinary surgical regimen" via Laparoscopic Weight Loss Centers and here I am today.  My official surgery date is Tuesday, February 19, and I am both excited and scared.  All the books I've read sound very omnious that if I don't follow everything to the "T" that I'll keel over.  However, I do know that this will be a new chapter in my life which is exciting.  Being as that my BMI is rather low, my friends are all scratching their heads as to how I was approved.  I give all that credit to the masters as LAPWLS.  They rock.  Being as that I'm not an uber fattie, most people don't think that I should have the surgery as I'm right at that qualifying BMI.  Though for me it was time to say goodbye to my friends at Lane Bryant (I heart you all) and move on to normal size clothing.  At the moment, I'm still a card carrying member of "Fattie's Anonymous" and after surgery, I'll still be a member in spirit.  I think I'll be one of those who will be 140 pounds and still think I'm over 250.  Alas, as of Tuesday, I'm on the protein diet.  I have already gone to Native Sun (gotta give props to my friend, the owner, Aaron Gottlieb) to try out their protein shakes.  I've decided that after surgery, I'm going total organic.  Alas, I'm tired of writing, therefore I'll stop now.
