About Me : I'm a single, 27 y/o mom of a gorgeous 7 y/o little girl named Kia. She is the light of my life! I've been single for about 7 years & would love to find my /"prince charming" someday, but I'm NOT looking for a "baby daddy". Been there, done that... What a complete & total L-O-S-E-R!!!
I've been overweight almost my whole life. So, I'm EXTREMELY excited to be getting my surgery.
My Faith: First & foremost, I'm a woman of God. My faith is the most important thing in my life!! Jesus is MY Savior, MY Rock, MY Redeemer, MY Best Friend, MY Lighthouse... He's the best thing that ever happened to me, and I can't imagine my life w/o Him!! I don't believe that we will ever be where we should be in our relationship with Him but should never stop trying to get closer to Him and become more "God-like". So, it shouldn't surprise you when I say that I'm not where I'd like to be and am constantly working to get there.
I attend church as often as I can, but I often have to miss for reasons beyond my control. I have more than one chronic illness. Therefore, I feel bad A LOT; however, I am being treated. So I’m not like ½ dead or on my “deathbed”. Although, I often feel like it, but I have faith in my Lord & Savior that He can/will heal me.
I know that I have been given this for a reason, and although we don't always understand His plan, there is one. We just have to trust in His love for us & that He does know what is best.
My favorite scripture is Psalm 139:1-3...
1. "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me."
2. "Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off."
3. "Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways."
School Goals : I have an AAS for computer programming from a local college & have 2 of 4 years completed for my BS to become an RN. However, I'm currently taking a break from college b/c of my illnesses, but I do intend on going back and finishing my nursing degree. I have about 2 yrs left, depending on the class load I take. When I finish, my dream is to work in a NICU (neonatal ICU) w/ sick babies, premies...
Favorite Activities: Volleyball, swimming, computer, reading, sleeping, listening to music, movies, SPENDING TIME W/ MY DAUGHTER....
