Hi all! Just had to stop by and share my wonderful news. I have officially lost 72 lbs since November 26th 2002. I now weigh 233lbs. All I can say is Thank you God! Without this surgery I don't believe I could have ever have lost this much on my own. So far I feel alot better and have much more energy than before. I was having alot of trouble with eating and then vomiting before, but with medicine that seems to be clearing up nicely. I can get very sick still but it is nothing like before. And as long as I keep losing weight I am not too worried about it right now. Lose skin is going to be a big problem I am afraid, my arms look terrible, same as my thighs. And I am not going to get started about my breasts and tummy, they are a BIG upset to me. God willing I will be able to have some work done on them later after I (God willing) reach my goal weight. And that is only going to happen if I can get it covered by insurance. Anyway I will update more later. God bless you all on your journeys to a better you.

I am so sorry that it has taken me this long to update my profile, but I have no ready internet access right now. I will hopefully do better in the future. Ok here it is so far, I now weigh 253 lbs, is'nt that great that is a total loss of 52 lbs so far just since Thanksgiving day. Tommorrow I am having a scope of my stomach with a dialation of the opening, due to my vomiting almost every time I try to eat. God willing that will help. I hope everyone is doing well on their journeys. God bless you all

CONGRATS...you made it to the OTHER SIDE. My GP surgery was also VERY painful...I can hear you! It does get better, and know, that this is the best present you could ever give yourself. Hang in there. WooHoo!! You made it! Gentle Hugs!

I am home. Surgery went great(very painful) - with no extra problems so far. Dr Nease was able to do my surgery by LAP Thank God! It took about 5 hours including the gallbladder removal. I am on Phase 1 of the diet plan (clear liquids) tghat is all I have had since the second day. Thristy is all I am I don't want anything esle either. I do have 2 drains - jackson prax and gastric drain. One jackson prax drain got removed at the hoapital. I don't have any staples that I can tell. I will update more later when I feel better. Dear AMOS family I have only a wakeup to go till my surgery. Thank you so much for wishing me well. I am scared about the surgery, but I know that God is with me, so I am sure that He will take care of me. I have had an interesting weekend so far three of my children have gotten sick with some stomach virus and my youngest has caught chicken pox. Luckly for me I have not had any problems with this virus and I have already had the chicken pox when I was a child. God willing I will have a quick and uneventful recovery. I will update when I can.
