"We were looking for a local doctor and we found Dr Shariat.
My husband and I went to see Dr Shariat together. We liked him right off.
I believe him to be a great surgeron and a really caring person. He has a strong belief in God too.
We both felt very good about our decision and were very please with all the time he spent with us answering questions and explaining to us the procedure options available.
His daughter is the office manager, she is as wonderful as he is.
He is quick to tell you he will be seeing you often and for aproximately 12 months. He of course also wants you to be sure to have a primary care doctor that is supportive of the WLS too!
He was straight forward on the risk as well as the benefits of the surgery.
Dr Shariat is a "10" in our book.
I beleive that the doctor you select has to be one you can talk to and ask questions of without feeling you are a "know nothing", It is also extremely important for him to be experienced and skillful in the procedure. We got it all with Dr Shariat. "
