Well, I am 7 weeks post op and I feel like a new person. I have lost 35 lbs so far and I am confident that I will reach my goal in a year. I am getting ready to relocate from Drexel Hill, PA to Mesa, AZ on the 30th of June and I hope to meet post ops out there. Dr Von R. has been great and I will surely miss him and his staff. I really like the fact that HE wants to find me a new surgeon in AZ. I have an appointmnet today at 1pm and I am excited to see if I have lost anymore weight. I REFUSE to own a scale. I think I would become obsessed with the number game. I feel it in my clothes and that is all I need. Not to mention the energy level that I have increased. Unbelieveable!!!! Thanks to my sister who gave me step down clothes and a special thanks to Lori...who has been my biggest supporter and advocate. You are full of wonderful information and I can't thank you enough. You will be sadly missed!!! I promise to update as soon as I get settled in AZ and best of luck to all who are on their way to the losing side.....God Bless!

Hi all: I want to thank all the people who were praying for me. It worked!! I feel great and all went as expected. I got to read all the wonderful things that you all wrote as soon as I got home. I was unable to sit at the computer until now. I am 2 weeks post op as of today and I must say that I feel like a different person from last week. I was in a fair amount of real pain for about 5 days. It all got better each day that I woke up. I am progressing each day in a postivite direction. Not eating was a bit difficult the first 10 days cause you can only handle so much diet jello and chicken broth. I highly recommend decaf-diet crystal light iced tea. It was very helpful. I saw my surgeon on May 5th and he was very please with my progress and told me I could have full liquids and sugar free pudding and cream of wheat!! What a relief to have actual food in my new pouch. I lost 19 lbs in 10 days as of the 5th and I am happy so far with everything. I am still healing and I am not 100% but I am working on it. I will post agin soon and thanks again for all your support.........Hallie

Hey Everyone, I talked to Hallie, she is home from the hospital and doing fine. She is tired but she sounded great! She hasn't taken pain meds in two days. She doing terrific, hard to believe she had major surgery less than a week ago. I can't wait to meet her. She said she will be posting next week, once she can sit in front of her puter. Everyone, let her know that your prayers and thoughts are with her for a smooth recovery. I'm praying for all of you pre- and post-ops and everyone suffering from the disease of obesity. 4-28-03 Hey everyone, I just got off the phone with Hallies husband, Robert. Hallie might get out of the hospital today. Her husband said she is feeling alittle better, she is getting up and around and her swallow test went well. I am so happy and relieved for her, her husband and their children. I wasn't able to go up to the hospital over the weekend (darn alternator), I guess I'll have to wait to meet her face to face. Lets all keep her in our prayers for a smooth recovery...She is on her way!!! Lisa
